tw*t, it's only you right wing loons who think it's all about politics. I welcome the good news that the numbers are going down. It doesn't make any difference to the fact that this government is a shower of poo poo though and that all the countless mistakes they've made have cost thousands of lives.

How can we be sure the death tally numbers are right?

They are not correct and never have been. So many people have been classed as dying of covid when they were never tested and or died of something else. Look it up and you'll see what I'm saying is true.

People die in car crash, died of covid. Cancer patient, died of covid. And on and on it goes.

We are being lied too.

This just makes a total mockery of the sacrifice most have made in the last 3 months.

I see it happening where I live. The kids are out to the Burger Kings/KFC for the drive through. Are the workers in the "restaurants" protected? Why are they there?

We will have a second wave.

Tories are fannies.

Not rubbish at all - it's a fact "... free travel is temporarily suspended for Freedom Pass and 60-plus card holders at peak times..." - https://www.london.gov.uk/press-release ... arding-tfl

Whether you want to blame it on the Government (as the mayor does) or on TFL is a separate question.

A Californian company says it has a cure and needs needs the green light to start human trials. It’s been successful in a dish in a lab on human cells so far. The shares have also rocketed on the back of the news. It’s being reported everywhere.

Yes you're right, freedom pass and 60-plus only, not disabled.

As in why the R is so high at national level when London's is so low? Got to be base size (i.e. population by region) driven. Presumably Yorkshire, the North East and the South West combined have a much larger population than London.

Or are you asking how the R for London can be so low? Possibly London has just been better at dealing with it and other regions are closer to their peaks. Also the increase in R at national level has been put down to care homes. Could just be there is less of a problem with those in London

London has been about 2 weeks in front of the other regions throughout the pandemic, people generally need to be cautious about the latest R number figures they are base on three week old data. Cases in London this week have been as low as double digits each day, we will have to wait to see how relieving the lockdown effects the R. Govt are going to include this number Daily in thier press briefings I believe.
