Johnson is flapping big time ....

Now he is off on his holibobs with his latest offspring.
The child was reported as 'due in early summer'. Summer starts on 21st June.
Yet it was the 29th April when Johnson was due at PMQs at the point in time when his failure on every single aspect of his governing was blatantly obvious. It would have been a disasterous show for him. So the baby supposedly arrived at the perfect time and helped him to "cop out" from PMQ. Johnson was congratulated instead of being challenged.
The baby's birth weight has never been made public as far as I'm aware. Why not?

Imagine being pregnant and having coronavirus, then imagine the father of your unborn child is in intensive care then you have your child prematurely.

Then some Internet loon says your child is faked to get out of Prime Minister's Questions.

Just imagine, whilst living in Islington (unlike Starmer QC) walking out on your Wife and kids to shack up with a younger bint; and when your Wife has subsequently been diagnosed with cervical cancer, spend your time worried more about yourself; by plotting and shafting your leader in the back, in order to gain power.

What sort of scum would do that, eh?

Covid-19: UK economy plunges into deepest recession since records began

GDP falls 20.4% – the worst of any G7 nation in the three months to June
https://www.theguardian.com/business/20 ... in-history

Rishi Sunak :clown (Chief Purveyor of Disaster Capitalism) has stated "we will get through this and I can assure people that nobody will be left without hope or opportunity.”

Really Mr. Sunak? Would you like to meet some travel agents in Coventry? Because I can assure YOU, that they have anything but hope; or indeed, opportunity. They will have unpaid mortgages and utility bills within the next month or two though.

This Tory Government :clown :clown :clown are an utter disgrace to humanity.

Guilty for the Manslaughter of thousands; and now guilty for destroying the British Economy.

Jolly well done.

To quote James O'Brien today:
"The UK has the worst economic performance in the G7 and the worst excess death rate in Europe. And what is the Home Secretary doing? Shouting at ice cream."

The UK Economy is in absolute tatters.

Millions to be made unemployed by the end of October (surveys last week indicate that one in three companies are planning to make redundancies once Furlough ends).

Brexit looming with no 'oven-ready deal' with the EU in sight.

Absolute exam chaos now beckons.

So what does the news distract the focus upon over the past few days?

A few dinghies crossing the English Channel.

Meanwhile, the blinkered sheep fall for it; and willingly gobble it up.

Truly, truly incredible.

Not sure why Ben & Jerry's is lecturing the UK about migrants, seeing as they are hardly squeaky-clean themselves:

How migrant workers took on Ben & Jerry's – and won a historic agreement
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/201 ... airy-farms

Nice put-down from the Home Office though:

‘Priti is working day and night to bring an end to these small boat crossings, which are facilitated by international criminal gangs and are rightly of serious concern to the British people. If that means upsetting the social-media team for a brand of overpriced junk food, then so be it.’

Thank you for oh so brilliantly proving my point faldO.

Rather than comment upon the clusterfcuk of trivial things - such as a completely shattered UK economy: Brexit negotiations going absolutely nowhere; unemployment due to rocket, potentially into millions; what do you decide to focus upon?...........Whataboutery involving an ice cream company.

Kerching!

See how it all works now?

FFS!

We must pay attention to different news outlets because yesterday the economy/recession and the A level results were all over the TV, radio and online, and the first I heard of this story was when you posted about it at 10.30pm last night.

I was simply pointing out the virtue signalling hypocrisy of what is essentially a junk food company (I know from previous postings how much you dislike the junk food industry) .

James O'Brien and you and Ben and Jerry's were the people who decided to focus on this story and make something of it, not me. Thank you for highlighting it.

Don't panic nuneatono the tories are good at sorting things out they always have been. For evidence I point you to every time a labour government has been in power the tories come in clean it all up and leave everything in a better place than before. Labour then takeover and wreck everything so the tories have a lot of experience in sorting out a mess.

And I know I'd rather them sort it than labour under steptoe.

Have a nice day 😁

I am indeed aware of other news - I read a number of media outlets (that aren't hidden behind a pay wall). My point is why are a few dinghies in the English Channel even newsworthy (notwithstanding a lead story), within the bigger scheme of things?

Why is Priti 'despicable' Patel, arguably the thrid most important person in Government, arguing with a fast food company? Aren't there more important things for her to worry about? Finally closing our borders to untested visitors, could possibly be a start?

As for your good self, still nothing to say about our shattered economy and the worst recession in UK history?

Nothing to add about the apparent disappearance of the 'oven-ready' Brexit Deal and our lack of any progress with the EU?

Mass unemployment not worthy of any comment?

No?

You see what I mean. ;)

They are f*cking up on every conceivable front and are resorting to their safe place of focussing on asylum seekers. Unfortunately for them they've managed to find another area to make a dog's dinner of in these a level results so I imagine it'll be continued omnishambles headlines for the foreseeable.

Worst recession of any major economy, worst death toll in Europe, Scotland is edging ever nearer to the exit door, one mp jailed for sexual assault and another accused of rape, and we're on course for a disastrous no deal. Really not much of a record to defend is there.

Using the expression "Virtue signalling" really has become a blessing for those who can't form a proper argument. For the hard of thinking, just to accuse someone of "virtue signalling" when they point out how wrong/crap something is has become the norm. Politicians and other morons use it all the time. It's become the go to phrase of the lazy and intellectually challenged. Carry on Faldo!

That's just a reflection of the stupidity/gullibility of the electorate and the fact that we have a predominantly right wing media which supports them. What have they done well as a government?

Created plenty of jobs, jobs that pay moneymthat allow you to live, buy a house, car holiday or whatever it is that floats your boat.

Created the highest number of people in work ever.
Created one of if no the lowest unemployed number in our history.
Record investment in the NHS
Allow councils to build homes once more
Apprenticeships
Record inward investment in to our country
Cut red tape
Education with accountability via the academy system.
Leading the climate change efforts in the world
Reduction in fuel bills through legislation
Income tax thresholds increased yearly
Low inflation
Defect was reducing and moving to surplus before this virus struck
Pension annuity scrapped
BREXIT

There's plenty more to list, but I've got a things to do.

Calling the electorate stupid is something us left-wingers need to stop doing. It's part of many reasons why left-wing politics is being shunned at the ballot box and why Labour lost seats in traditional heartlands - socialism is being viewed by many on the outside as the interest of liberal Hoxton type hipsters and celebrity luvvie types.

Even a strident left-winger like me cringes when I see comments like this. Labour needs to work out why this happened and what they're going to do about it - at the moment, Starmer still doesn't seem to be cutting through.

Agree. But it is so hard not to say when its like Turkeys voting for xmas every few years. Infuriating :D
