Thanks to the pandemic I think most countries are virtually bankrupt
Think they were bankrupt before the pandemic myself.
That just allows them to get more credit & debt , which
Will lead us paying for it .
Lockdowns have got rid of our wistful spending though.

It'll be a very sad day for this message board when the Arabs eventually wipe out Israel. Where else is there in the world that you will find such an intetesting oppressed minority as the Palestinians to support ?

Well, you can always think about the Catholics in Northern Ireland, or the muslims in China.

Best to avoid talking about certain subjects as bound to start a spate of hate comments.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not a Jew but have many friends who are and the subject is always a tinderbox. Best talk about footy or something else.

So slowly sliding more and more into nationalism. Agree wholeheartedly with Scharma. And good to see some Jewish organisations coming around to the idea that the Israeli state is going in a dark path. Hopefully the tide of opinion keeps changing and the serious accusation of antisemitism is split from anti Zionism

But I thought Baddiel said that asking British Jews to condemn Israel was antisemitic? I can't keep up.

Not a massive fan of his. Got given his book Jews Don’t Count a while back and still haven’t read it but his tv show of the same name was very thought provoking and made me reconsider some of my ‘Jewishness’ but I disagree with him about israel. Interestingly Miriam Margolyse made the point that as Jews we actually have a duty to stand against it. It’s all abit confusing

How much of recent Israeli politics can be linked to wider geopolitical shifts? It sounds like everything is proper going to sh*t in the whole region.
With the US losing interest, Iran stiring the pot with Hamas and Hezbollah, Arab states aligning with the Israelis, Turkey and Russia flexing their muscles, the instability of Iraq and Syria, the Saudis using Yeman as target practice...
It has a pre-1914 Europe feel to it.

Can we cancel any upcoming trips to the Bosnian capital by Archduke types. Better check the holiday plans of Marko Arnautović to be on the safe side as well

C**ts like Hodge have spent the last 8 years facilitating this. It's too late to start speaking out now.

The 'jolly' had been planned for a few weeks and there was nothing improper in it.

Anyone know what Palestinians think about this?
My understanding is that it doesn't matter how liberal/reactionary the Israeli govt is they still oversee the murder of Palestinians, the stealing of their land and the imposition of Apartheid.
