It just came up for me with the dubbed version, so I went with it. I don't usually watch anything dubbed, but this was done superbly.

Just watched The Angry Silence wtih Richard Attenborough. Excellent film.

English is the same as French, just spoken badly.

I watched "King Rocker" on Sky Arts (on Catch Up) last night by that Stewart Lee they have these days, you know the one. Stewart Lee, fat, thining straggly long hair, pirate beard, shambolic - looks like a Kim Jong Il who has let himself go.

Anyway, it was excellent and I recommend it.

Yes it was excellent. The Nightingales went under my radar a bit so wasn't familiar with the music but that didn't interfere with a very well made documentary. It led onto a YouTube blitz of Stewart Lee routines which was also good, especially his Top Gear one which I recommend.
And yes Max - Lee needs to lay off the vegan diet and do some exercise.

Im watching the snow falling .....dont think much of it though .

Really enjoyed this too. I didn't know anything about The Nightingales apart from the Vindaloo Summer Special hit.
Great to see a bit of Fuzzbox and Ted Chippington also.

This is a Much better story of the same event

Just finished that "White House Farm" drama based on the Jeremy Bamber case, and thought it was very good.

Also watched the 4 part "Crime Scene - Vanishing at the Hotel Cecil" on Netflix. It could have been one-part, frankly.

After a year of Covid I have watched all the documentaries/old films that appear on freeview excepting the occasional gem from the past on Talking Pictures. Am now back to binge watching sci fi boxsets. The latest is "Fringe" from JJ Abrams which seems to date back from 2008. Have got through 50 episodes from 3 series in about 8 days.

A very underrated actor him. Favourite film I’ve seen him in is ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’ . If you like a vigilante type film. He plays a scary character indeed.

Been binge watching the American Office this week.

I bet the workers regret letting the cameras into their work place. Some of them don't come out of it at all well.

The Serpent. Pretty creepy so far.

Doing Borgen now, for the first time. Never been so excited about the appointment of a minister for overseas development.

I came on here a little while ago and made some enquiries about Netflix as I fancied The Dig. I coughed up and watched it. I quite enjoyed it. Thought they missed a trick, by not emphasising the jewels. They talked about them, but didn't show then in any great detail. Now that was one of the big things of the discovery, it rewrote history, the Dark Ages weren't so dark and obviously had some quite clever and artistic guys.
Anyway to get my money's worth I started to binge watch The Crown. I now have touch of sciatica, through sitting on my fat bum for too long. I found it quite compulsive and Brenda is now one of my heroes. Still wondering whether Porchy ever porked her. Loved the treatment of one of my true heroes, the precious 'Arold. Always thought he had terrible treatment from the Press. Loadsa Tories spread awful malicious rumours about his sudden resignation, but what he did was truly honourable unlike Churchill. Anyway tonight is the last night, I hope my bum lasts out!

I have seen the film & there is 1 of these documentaries
that relates to it specifically .
I thought it was this one from memory as i watched a few
Last year .

There is a particualrly good one on
The Failed norwegian attempt led by sherpa Tensing .

It was his reputation that led Hilary to pick him as the man to
Lead him to the summit .
I'll try & find it again if you are interested in watching any of it

Yes please, after watching the film its spiked an interest as its quote compelling challenge, possibly the ultimate? That documentary said if your over 50 your twice as likely to die as someone below it.
