Today's BBC News:- Rail strikes have cost the UK more than settling the disputes months ago would have, rail minister Huw Merriman has said.
Says it all doesn't?
Completely.

What's your alternative, just give all strikers what they ask for straight away. If you ran a business in that manner, you soon wouldn't have a business left. Also works both ways, I suspect that many strikers have lost more in wages than they ultimately gain.
If you run a business like the Government you would no longer have a business a lot quicker.

Wrong. If you ran a business that way, you would have made a larger profit.
(You'd also have a happier workforce, as an aside).

There wouldn’t have been any need for the strikes if the workers had been treated fairly. Is it impossible to run a successful business and treat your workers well at the same time? SPOILER - the answers no.

Brilliant is stretching it. He makes a decent point but noticeably wouldn't say existing NHS budgets shouldn't be put towards the pay increases. None of them will commit to anything at all.

He quite rightly said he wouldn't be answering how the Tories should fund their polices. He did clearly say that Labour would raise £1.6b for health by taxing Non-Doms.

No, he doesn't need to say how they should fund things but "should the Government use existing NHS budgets?" seems like a particularly easy question to answer regardless.

Streeting is one of the best political media performers. Putting aside his character, politics, ruthlessness, manipulation etc (basically, just about everything), Tory ministers doing their media rounds will do their best to avoid him.

I'm doing a dirty protest and not wiping my botty until we all get a decent pay rise. Dirty pants, clean bot as Rick once said in the Young Ones .
