If people are determined to pursue unproven or dangerous treatments, what can be done? I dont think the answer is to provide them on the nhs.

There is no story.

Labour has just indicated they would update the process, nothing about a GP being able to sign it off.

If it helps I've cut and pasted the quote from the shadow minister that is in the article

Anneliese Dodds, the shadow women and equalities secretary, said she wanted to strip out the “futile and dehumanising parts” of acquiring a gender recognition certificate.

So you’re currently at the “it isn’t happening” phase.

Can you confirm what your position would be if it is happening? Cos a lot of people advocating for the trans rights side of things seem to work on the two step “this isn’t happening… ok it might be happening but it’s GOOD that it’s happening”
