His name is Kier. He has accepted a knighthood. He has horses on his estate.
Yes, and all us liberal southern softies should show some loyalty to the party and get behind the message that it's alright to be a bit racist because apparently northerners love a bit of that almost as much as chips, gravy and whippets. Dropping Britain first into a sentence is absolutely to be applauded.
Far better to be in power and controlling the agenda than sitting on the opposition benches unable to put any part of your plans into effect.Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:19 amYes, and all us liberal southern softies should show some loyalty to the party and get behind the message that it's alright to be a bit racist because apparently northerners love a bit of that almost as much as chips, gravy and whippets. True enough but is the best way to do that to wrap yourself in the Butchers Apron and blabber on about Britain first to a load of bigots. It won't go down well in Scotland where Labour need to take seats to "get into power".spen666 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:33 amFar better to be in power and controlling the agenda than sitting on the opposition benches unable to put any part of your plans into effect.Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:19 amYes, and all us liberal southern softies should show some loyalty to the party and get behind the message that it's alright to be a bit racist because apparently northerners love a bit of that almost as much as chips, gravy and whippets. you wont get into power without winning over the electorate.
Who did this then?Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:19 am Dropping Britain first into a sentence is absolutely to be applauded.
If you want to be in the winning team first and foremost just be a Tory.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:05 am All the right people are annoyed about Starmer. Labour might actually have a chance of winning an election again.
Not without winning a significant number of seats in Scotland they won't. That won't happen if he keeps on with the Little Englander approach.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:05 am All the right people are annoyed about Starmer. But, but what about party unity? Sirkeith wants that right? A winning broad coalition can only be achieved if the party is United. He needs to tone it down.PoliticOs wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:17 amIf you want to be in the winning team first and foremost just be a Tory.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:05 am All the right people are annoyed about Starmer. I want a Lab gov, bigtime. (Or an anything-over-than-these-Gov) but I want it to be good. Once we inevitably swing back conservative I don't want a term to be beaten up by of getting nothing done or saying, doing or achieving nothing of note.
My only annoyance with Starmer is that he is giving the finger to the left to appease the right and it feels a bit sad but hopefully he comes good.
Most of the people on the 'left' with these faux-concerns about Starmer are not Labour anyway, just TUSC/SWP cranks who jumped on the Corbyn bandwagon. Labour have won without these people before and will do so again - the same can't be said for the centre.PoliticOs wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:17 amIf you want to be in the winning team first and foremost just be a Tory.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:05 am All the right people are annoyed about Starmer. What do you care about Labour winning I thought you supported the cranks in the yellow Tory Party.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:27 amMost of the people on the 'left' with these faux-concerns about Starmer are not Labour anyway, just TUSC/SWP cranks who jumped on the Corbyn bandwagon. Hands up, I was skimming through the news and misread what Nando said. Still think the allusion was deliberate though.Nice Username wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:06 amWho did this then?Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 10:19 am Dropping Britain first into a sentence is absolutely to be applauded.
The full quote: “we stand up for Britain, we stand up for British people, we stand up for British interests and we will always put that first”.Mick McQuaid wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 9:26 amHands up, I was skimming through the news and misread what Nando said.
