Do police normally stop people at random? Maybe it is necessary for somewhere like Hackney.

Routine 163 stops are the bread and butter for Traffic officers
From the abridged video it shows officers were polite and professional throughout so not sure why she's taken offense.

Oh and the driver is white - Brilliant
Still, I guess it's to be expected from someone who got offended and tried to cancel rice

"You're in a fantastic position to do that."
"You don't need to tell me that, that's quite patronising."
After having just told 2 police officers how to do their jobs.
Unbelievable

This is in response to a 14 year old being arrested for carrying 13 pre-weighed bags of cannabis. Children will be routinely arrested for drug possession (let alone 13 bags) due to safeguarding issues.
Black Lives Matter spun it as a raid and staged a protest outside Colindale police station and tried to whip up anger by misreporting what happened and called on people to attend the location to demand his release. Butler is trying to do the same by equating possession of 14 bags of drugs to going to the shops for a loaf of bread
She's a race baiter

Why is his face blurred? I cant work out who is up to the fakery nowadays.
The image being flipped may be normal on a camera phone.

Presumably at the request of Butler to protect her friend's identity.
Given the video has been heavily abridged the officer's involved have informed the Federation that they want to release their Body Warn video. Very unlikely to be approved

Bollox. I've worked on the Grahame Park estate and we've had black residents complaining for years that the policing on that estate is over zealous and discriminatory. The protests have come off the back of that, regardless of what the kid may have done. Some kids from the estate were actually on that post George Floyd BBC doc a few weeks back talking about this exact subject.

Not denying the historical problems
If you look at the UK BLM official page, the protest (attended by about 40 people) the other day was specifically in relation to the arrest (or as they called it "raid") of a child carrying multiple bags of drugs and the subsequent arrests for obstruction/assault on police.

There's definitely an issue with racially profiled stops, but don't think Butler's outrage over this particular incident is helping address that problem here.

This incident just shows how blatantly racist our Police are! These coppers need sacking immediately!!
OK rant over.
Good grief........I don't even know why it has made the news.
This incident is an embarrassment to my Party.
That said, I'm pretty sure that the bit about entering the wrong car registration details is utter Bow Locks.
'Car from oooop North being driven in London' needs to be stopped. Seriously?

Well done Kier for backing the prime minister in getting the children back to school. After refusing to say anything since he took over as leader the statement below is a positive one for me. Here is what he said.
I donโt just want all children back at school next month, I expect them back at school. No ifs, no buts, no equivocation. Let me be equally clear: it is the Prime Ministerโs responsibility to guarantee children get the education they need and the benefit of being back with their teachers and classmates.
