Re: Play Offs
Clap for Boothy - where is good to park on-street close ish (say within a 10/15 min brisk stroll) to the ground? Thanks.

They don't seem to be listening, so might as well make use whilst he's on here trying to twizzle our noodles.

Re: Play Offs
On street in residential areas? Wherever you can find TBH. I'd generally suggest public transport to the town centre and walk from there but that's more because I'd want a drink than anything else.
Some street parking here:

Some small businesses on St. Andrews Road (see map) offer parking for a small fee.

I remember when you won the league and played your last game down at ours. It may have been Booth's last game? Anyway not only did you annihilate us (about 4-1) but you sang the whole day. Worthy winners back then. Hopefully you find your mojo in the coming seasons - and I'd appreciate it if you'd put out deck chairs for your players this Saturday. We are historically not good at making things easy.
But Boothy's last ever game was against your lot. Finished 1-1, and you guys gave him a great reception when he scored against you (hence the name I chose for this forum and part of the reason for my soft spot for your club).

You guys made it an interesting game but I’m not sure I’ve seen defending like it for some time. Told you the Bolton and Charlton games wouldn’t define our playoff push BandyRich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:54 pm Despite the losers claiming the season is over after an incredibly hard 4 game stretch. Our final position was always going to be decided by the next ten games.
30 points on offer against middling to poor teams. If we want it it’s there. Take 23 from those, 7 wins and 2 draws. With 2 backup games against teams who’s fate could already be sealed by the time we play. Tough but it’s incredibly tough to get into the playoffs.

I am still getting over how accurate the OP was. May this be a lesson to us all. Never ever stop believing in this group of players.
What an absolute bunch of legends. All working and fighting for each other, all looking fresh even after 50+ games, I bet Stockport are worried. Keep hungry fellas, the journey starts here!

Re: Play Offs
I was there, and I don’t recall as many Orient fans applauding an away goal as that day. When Booth was subbed the whole ground stood and applauded, and Buono (?) on the PA mad a lovely comment too as he came off. There were shitloads of Huddersfield fans in the Birkbeck after the game and it was a properly great atmosphere, hence the soft spot most O’s fans have for Town. Cheers @ clapforboothy, and best of luck for next seasonScuba Diver wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 2:30 pmWas also at the game. There’s obviously a few things not quite right but thought you played some decent stuff and looked very dangerous.

Just to reiterate - this really is an all timer of an OP in a thread. There should be some sort of prize.
The only thing that comes close to this is when Norbert Dentressangle correctly guessed the champions league round of 16 draw

Re: Play Offs
Think people are going a bit overboard. There are a fair few people who have believed in Richie and the squad throughout. He’s just got lucky we ended up on the same points he said would be required to make the playoffs.
Technically he’s wrong as we only needed 75.

Re: Play Offs
Yeah but the whole “assuming we win the next six” - fair play, it didn’t quite happen, but it was seemingly a ludicrous call at the time…

It’s all part of the fantastic 6 month journey of this squad.
So nice to see some positivity and ambition on this MB at a time when the club were seemingly struggling.

Re: Play Offs
Would have been nice if we would have cruised to 78 points rather than doing the bare minimum. But if that’s the case the bare minimum requirement is now PROMOTION. Personally I can’t see any other eventuality.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 1:18 pm 78 points should do it. 60 points required from 29 games. 2.07 points per game but assuming we win our next 6 then a far more manageable 1.83 for the 2nd half of the season. Barring injuries on our way to the EFL Trophy and 6th round of the FA Cup I’m feeling fairly confident. Up the Os!

Yes, well done to you Boothy, you called it !Mind you, you were pretty accommodating leaving all that space at the back which was perfect for our two speedsters Kelman and Agyei. Nevertheless, it was quite a scintillating performance from us. You looked good going forward and quite dangerous but you need to be a lot more solid in defence.Clap for Boothy wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 5:33 pmI told you so!!!Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 3:31 pm You're just playing the two way win situation. Huge clear out here - including JK. Confirmed released at the end of his contract.
Anyway, as nicely as it's possible to say - hope we don't see each other next season.
