Funny what happens when you sack your “set-piece coach”. I know that the club would rather just brush that whole situation under the carpet but questions really need to be asked about that suspect appointment. Who authorised it? How much did we waste on it? Can we be reassured that it won’t happen again?Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 11:30 am Looking back at the highlights, was really refreshing to see some excellent corners at the end. Moncur and Theo's deliveries were excellent and nearly got us the point. Very unfortunate that none of those chances fell in, they were more clear cut than I realised watching live.

We have a great Manager and excellent board who care about the club. We have gone from a shambles of a club, in the National League, to a well run unit, a lot of money has been invested by the owners, I’m just happy to be where we are now after 2 promotions in 6 years. Every game I watch is a bonus as we could have gone out of existence. Up the O’s
At the time I was shocked that nobody worked out that this was my alias from this post, so obvious is it that this is me

Interesting to see only 6 out of the 18 named for the fixture last season are likely to feature, albeit a further 3 are injured.
But that’s a big change around.

Interesting to look back just over a year ago and remember our midfield of Brown and Galbraith was absolutely destroyed.
I'd have no qualms if we start with the pair of them tomorrow.

It’s a massive ask what Richie has to do, which is due to loan expiry and contract expiry in effect build a new team every season.
No wonder we get off to a slow start.
Just imagine what Richie could do with more player stability.

With this new takeover in the works greater player stability might just be close at hand.

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
The average contract length is 2 years - 3 years are rare unless paying significant fees - so you’re going to be changing half your squad each season anyway.
What definitely does impact us is the lateness of players coming in (Currie, Keeey), first time loans (Donley, Perkins) and unfit players (DJ) etc.
