Paul Danan of hollyoaks fame dead at 46
Inquest says he died as a result of a "cocktail" of drugs. They weren't exaggerating:
"The court heard that the provisional cause of Danan’s death was combined toxicity of heroin, heroin-substitute methadone, painkiller codeine, anxiety-treatment pregabalin, cocaine, insomnia-treatment zopiclone, and it was contributed to by antidepressant benzodiazepine."

What you could call a belt and braces approach, although the belt thing might be unfortunate wording.

Celebs nowadays are lightweights. That would have been a cheeky bump to get you through to lunchtime, back in the 90s.

Those were the days and the boxers. To be Heavyweight Champion of the World - what a title.
I wonder if St. Peter will allow Ali and Foreman a re-match of the "Rumble in the Jungle".
RIP George.

Dr Kildare AKA Richard Chamberlin age 90.
Also starred in Shogun and Thorn Birds.
I was quite a lot older before I realised my mum watched Dr Kildare religiously on Friday evenings because she had the hots for him. Oh, the innocence of a pre-teenager.

PC Trevor Lock, the policeman who was taken hostage in the siege of the Iranian embassy in 1980, has died aged 85.
I remember being in bed with my then GF in her flat in the area when the SAS went in and in a state of post coitus relaxation, wondering what are those loud firework type noises.
