Yeah, seems much busier outside our (rural) gaff today, as loads of trippers ramble and cycle past on our lane. Got the feeling this week that stay at home quarantine fatigue has set in for a lot more folks. A sod it moment, if you will. Which could be a big error...

Updated rolling 7 day chart

So, if I'm reading that chart right, the next 2 days need to be under about 600 and under about 450 in order for that line to stay flat or carry on downwards?

Yep that's about right. It's those two days with the biggest fluctuations though. Sunday always seems unrealistically low in particular because of reporting lag.

Lockdown fatigue that SAGE predicted when everyone was screaming "Lockdown now".

You don't need to be a genius to predict that people will get bored with staying at home for weeks on end do you.

So you think it was right SAGE advised to put off lockdown so fatigue wouldn't set in during the peak?
Good stuff

The figures are inaccurate, so this graph is totally meaningless.
The government can’t even get simple graphs right.

There were 105 actual deaths in England in the 24 hours leading up to yesterday's (Saturdays) announcement far fewer than the stated 711. 606 deaths had occurred over a number of days beforehand but had not been reported by the hospital or relevant local health authority.

That’s how the number is reported every day. I don’t know how that 105 compares with previous days but I assume that’s not an accurate figure until the deaths yesterday are reported over the next few days

From Prof Karol Sikora on twitter who has had by far the most open and realistic take on what's been happening with this virus from day one.
Quote via twitter-
The media should be clearer on this.
Of the reported 711 NHS England fatalities yesterday, only 105 were from the previous day.
Many were from weeks ago.
Using accurate and current data shows a much more encouraging picture - NHS England produce the graph every day!

It is usually between 100-150.
Yes more will be added to that over about a week. At the moment the figures are topping out at about 500, down from 800 earlier in the month, so progress is being made.

And only 63 reported for England today, or is that yesterday?

336 more deaths reported in England, the usual far lower number reported on Sunday.

Sikora is a proper grifter, he's building his profile providing "a breath of positive fresh air"
He was promoting a study a month ago that said UK would only have 5 thousand deaths

Someone going on about Karol Sicora- Sounds like he is a dodgy geezer. Check him out before quoting him. Just because someone is a Doc or a Prof doesn't mean he spouts Gospel. Always check out your sources ( They could be David Ike ).
