Re: Coronavirus
Yeah, seems much busier outside our (rural) gaff today, as loads of trippers ramble and cycle past on our lane. Got the feeling this week that stay at home quarantine fatigue has set in for a lot more folks. A sod it moment, if you will. Which could be a big error...

Re: Coronavirus
So, if I'm reading that chart right, the next 2 days need to be under about 600 and under about 450 in order for that line to stay flat or carry on downwards?

Re: Coronavirus
Yep that's about right. It's those two days with the biggest fluctuations though. Sunday always seems unrealistically low in particular because of reporting lag.StillSpike wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:12 pm So, if I'm reading that chart right, the next 2 days need to be under about 600 and under about 450 in order for that line to stay flat or carry on downwards?

You don't need to be a genius to predict that people will get bored with staying at home for weeks on end do you.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:23 pmLockdown fatigue that SAGE predicted when everyone was screaming "Lockdown now".slacker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:05 pm Yeah, seems much busier outside our (rural) gaff today, as loads of trippers ramble and cycle past on our lane. So you think it was right SAGE advised to put off lockdown so fatigue wouldn't set in during the peak?BoniO wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:31 pmYou don't need to be a genius to predict that people will get bored with staying at home for weeks on end do you.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:23 pmLockdown fatigue that SAGE predicted when everyone was screaming "Lockdown now".slacker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:05 pm Yeah, seems much busier outside our (rural) gaff today, as loads of trippers ramble and cycle past on our lane. Re: Coronavirus
The figures are inaccurate, so this graph is totally meaningless.
The government can’t even get simple graphs right.

Re: Coronavirus
There were 105 actual deaths in England in the 24 hours leading up to yesterday's (Saturdays) announcement far fewer than the stated 711. 606 deaths had occurred over a number of days beforehand but had not been reported by the hospital or relevant local health authority.

Re: Coronavirus
That’s how the number is reported every day. I don’t know how that 105 compares with previous days but I assume that’s not an accurate figure until the deaths yesterday are reported over the next few daysTop of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 2:52 pm There were 105 actual deaths in England in the 24 hours leading up to yesterday's (Saturdays) announcement far fewer than the stated 711. 606 deaths had occurred over a number of days beforehand but had not been reported by the hospital or relevant local health authority.

Re: Coronavirus
From Prof Karol Sikora on twitter who has had by far the most open and realistic take on what's been happening with this virus from day one.
Quote via twitter-
The media should be clearer on this.
Of the reported 711 NHS England fatalities yesterday, only 105 were from the previous day.
Many were from weeks ago.
Using accurate and current data shows a much more encouraging picture - NHS England produce the graph every day!

Yes more will be added to that over about a week. At the moment the figures are topping out at about 500, down from 800 earlier in the month, so progress is being made.

He was promoting a study a month ago that said UK would only have 5 thousand deaths

Someone going on about Karol Sicora- Sounds like he is a dodgy geezer. Check him out before quoting him. Just because someone is a Doc or a Prof doesn't mean he spouts Gospel. Always check out your sources ( They could be David Ike ).
