Superb video - ourlining the lying sh!tefest of this incompetent Tory Government; compared to a great Socialist leader, such as New Zealand's Jacinda Ardern.

Momentum are a big reason this clown has the majority he has because they spent 4 years attacking soft left people, like Ardern, in their own party.

When I see something worthy of credit I will say so, so far I am not seeing much at all. There are unsung people out there who are beyond credit and should become legendary, politicians without an ounce of humility who go from disaster to disaster with no admission of fault or apology deserve none.

Ok let's take a subject that I care about and volunteer in as I want to help people get back on their feet and moving forwards positively once more.

Homelessness. The government made all councils take in and house all people who are homeless. The government does have a policy to eradicate it by 2025 and i for one will welcome that should it happen. They have since extended the housing of homeless people for one full year.

So Mikero, is that not a positive or don't you care about such matters?

I will give the lady credit for she has done from looking in from the outside and great job.

However, NZ v UK you can't compare. More people live in London than their whole country, twice as many in fact. They don't have population density like we have. They don't have an underground system like we do. They don't have three major airports in London like we do, with one of them the worlds major hub. I could go on, but I won't.

However, she has done a great job and one that should be applauded.

Yet with not a single case of Corona Virus
They prepared rigidly for shutdown 3 weeks
before the u.k , they provided there health workers with enough ppe to last a year , they did everything right.

My niece who lives on the south island was in total disbelief at how stupidly the uk were acting with public transport etc in march when they were a week into lockdown .

Its not about how many people there are
Its about how you deal with a problem facing you.

A worthy cause indeed, but at present it is in the midst of an emergency so is not getting the plaudits it deserves, as are those like the millions who are keeping society together with their free time. From the lay work I have done in the NHS over the years I have met so many volunteers who have carried interest groups forward by shear energy. The odd MBE for this work never seems enough recognition. If the streets are clear by 2025 I will applaud.

OK then - lets do some comparisons and you can then consider the subsequent percentages:

London has a population density of 1,510 people per Sq. Km.
Auckland has a population density of 1,210 people per Sq. Km.
Christchurch has a popularion density of 1,009 people per Sq. Km.

London has had 33,729 confirmed cases; with 6,106 deaths.
Auckland has had 178 confirmed cases; 178 recovered - 0 deaths.
Christchurch has had 164 confirmed cases; 152 recovered with 12 deaths.

So rather than apportion the level of UK deaths as a result of the population density within main cities, can't you honestly see that it is THE PROCESS, adopted by both Governments, that has caused such a disparity?

The UK Government has blood on its' hands. It's as simple as that.

By the way, on your point about reducing homelessness. Can I just asked when you last helped out at a food bank; or helped with providing meals at a shelter for the homeless?

That's not a 'dig' - but if you really want to make a difference, it's really not that difficult to volunteer. ;)

At the homeless shelter it was the last week of march then they went in to "permanent housing" after a weeks quarantine at the shelter.

As for food banks I donate all throughout the year.

As for what am I doing now? Delivering medicines and ppe (although that's dropped off now) so as to try and help and make a difference.

It's good you're volunteering, and it's good you're positive about Boris ending homelessness by 2025, but do you not feel conflicted that his party and their policies have possibly had the impact to cause the issues you care about? Rough sleeping increased by 141% in the time they have been in power.

If I take a tenner from you for a decade and then promise you a fiver one day, am I the good guy or not?

I am not saying that they are perfect far from it and there are lots I would like to see done. Free school meals for everyone being one. There is a lot to do to put society in to a better place than it is now. Boris has suggested that's his aim, he will.have to deliver or he will upset a lot of people.

The policies that they have followed and are following since he came to power reside on a natural labour voters radar, so you could even suggest what they've done on a financial support system is way beyond anything Jezza would have done or proposed for fear of being called a nut job.

I want a better society, I want everyone to benefit and not just the top earners, I want to see aspiration for all. I want more police, I want better paid nurses, I want a better transport network and I want education to be the best it could possibly be. With education that possibly one of the beat ways you can level people up.

So much to do.

Glad to learn that you are doing some charitable work.

As a matter of interest, who are you delivering the PPE and medicines on behalf of? My Sister has a lot of free time at the moment; and would similarly like to help along these lines.

Any comment on the UK v NZ stats I provided for you?

Oh, further to your post yesterday, I'm still waiting to find out whether you consider me to be a Marxist or a Socialist (and why exactly - would be useful to know).

Cheers!

Firm with links to Gove and Cummings given Covid-19 contract without open tender

The Cabinet Office has awarded an £840,000 contract to research public opinion about government policies to a company owned by two long-term associates of Michael Gove and Dominic Cummings, without putting the work out for tender.

Remember folks - this is your modern-day Tory Party. The party of liars, cheats, charlatans and wide-boys - that some believe will make society better........for everyone!

I disagree with you on the financial support system thing. They would have looked somewhat similar, the only difference being it would have been a stick to beat Corbyn with but it wouldn't be for a conservative.

So you wanted;

Free school meals
More police
Better paid nurses
Better transport systems
Improved funding for educational establishments

And you thought; 'Yep, Conservatives for me'. It's such a shame that you got to that position and that so many millions did exactly this same thought process.

There is just no way for a left wing government to come into this country now really, is there? There is so much to do. But they've had a decade and they've made it worse. I just don't get it.

No pay increase for NHS Nurses; but Boris can spunk £900 Grand on a paint job; and Thor is all for Liz having a new boat.

A fairer society for everyone? Really?

The strange World of Thor......now out there delivering PPE; when he's previously said he'd never wear a mask (but shares a hot tub with mates).

Someone should write a book about this guy!

There is. The public can, will and do vote for left-leaning economic policies. But they want right-leaning social policies. But Labour just lack the personnel and membership to ever inhabit that space (which may be a good thing).

Exactly. It's easier for the Tories to stray left economically than it is for Labour to stray right socially, so that will most often tip the balance.

Yeah, you're bang on. I've accepted it and know what I want isn't close to what the majority want, I just wish those that DID get what they want would start holding their votes to account rather than just wearing team colours.

Ah, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the majority get what they want. I said they get what they deserve. A subtle, but important, difference.

You can at least take some comfort from that ;)
