Final episode of wolf hall was good I thought.

Spoiler alert!: Thomas Cromwell is not alive anymore. Excellent series of 'legal' debates with his accusers.

Mark Rylance really is brilliant.

I really hoped that I'd like this but it wasn't great. The Heroine's acting was abysmal, Redmayne was good, but the plot and dialogue were truly terrible. I finished the series out of pure doggedness. I really don't get the hype for this at all.
Agree about the heroine. As I stated earlier, while not necessarily a plausible baddie, Redmayne is definitely a plausible Edward Fox.

I think, on reflection, what I liked most were the little call backs to the original film, which I enjoyed seeing them ticked off.

That Christmas, on Netflix. I don't care if it's typical Richard Curtis slop (but animated) - watched with kiddo and we all liked it. Will probably watch again.

How does getting the photos out liven things up?

Watched the second part of the immigration show on iplayer talking to all the major political figures of the last 30 years who’ve been involved. Actually very interesting to see all the broken promises and the use of it as a political football

Bad enough first time around. Quality fell off a cliff after the original writer was fired after first couple of series.

Imagine Star Wars made by Amblin in the 80s, ET/Goonies/Flight Of The Navigator type feel to it, and Jude Law having the time of his life. Highly recommend.
I'll give it a look. Now, if they made this with better CGI/AI, then I'd definitely be in

Finished Boybands Forever. Really, really good series. All the ex-boyband members came across so well, all the managers and execs seemed like c*nts, not that that's probably much of a shock when you interview Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh (apart from the fella who managed 5ive, he was the only one who had any kind of insight or acknowledgement that maybe things could have been done differently). Be interested to know why those who didn't feature didn't want to take part, or why they weren't asked, or whether anyone did get interviewed but just wasn't interesting enough.

Squid Game season 2

Decent so far and now half way in there’s an enormous Korean trans woman who’s risking getting gunned down every round to win the money to pay for her gender affirming care. Stunning and brave.

Wanted to watch all the spins off but felt I had to reacquaint myself with the originals first. Perfect for a commute.

Just finished watching a 3 part series of the Jonestown massacre that occured on the 18th of November 1978. 913 people including nearly 200 children committed suicide. Many of them were murdered all at the behest of their maniacal leader Jim Jones. Shocking documentary.

Really enjoyed it. Probably underrated as a song writer (albeit with a lot of help). Got over the monkey thing quite quickly, even had a tear towards the end.

See it in the cinema.

Did they explain why he is portrayed as a monkey?

Were the rest of Take That also portrayed as primates?

Not really and no. But they are portrayed well, in a slightly piss take way
