Pretty good assessment to me. Strengths are that he never seems to get injured, works his socks off and certainly takes a mean penalty. A very unselfish player. So you get Bonne to extend his contract by an extra year with the condition of a release clause, or you have to sell him summer 2018 in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer now. I thought Bonne would have learnt what a crap owner can do to a decent club and its players. Just like those players who signed for us under Beelzebub, he seems to have fallen for the porous lure of ambition rather than the solid ground upon which he stood.
Bowyer has already gone and the vultures are circling on their best players so, the door will be open to make a few championship appearances at least.

Bit of a gamble to go to Charlton. Manager who got them promoted has just left and seems to be plenty of issues with the owner. Could all go horribly wrong down there but I hope not for Macca's sake. He's been great for us over the last two seasons and I wish him nothing but well for the future.
It seems obvious that the release clause was mandatory from the player and his agent. If it wasn't in the contract, then it wasn't going to be signed by Bonne.
