Dunno why I care either, I stream the games illegally for free.*Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 10:02 pmThink you’re right. Yeah but the next time the club needs money and next to no one ‘pays your money’, then what?

It’s not a free stream.RedO wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 10:13 pmDo you not accept that a ST holder with a free stream has more - the items listed above, priority access and seat retention - than a non ST holder paying for a stream on a weekly basis?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:59 pmDon't be obtuse. They provide the stream in lieu of going into the ground. If they were providing it for free, then I'll have my £13 back. You pay £10 for the same thing I'm losing £13 for. There's a reason different stands cost different prices.RedO wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:52 pm
You’re not paying £13 for a stream. You paid for a season ticket but because you’re not allowed in, you’re being provided with a stream for free.
But looking at things your way, and that you’re paying for the stream... as well as the stream, you are also ensuring you’re at the front of the queue should we be allowed back in and you’re also retaining your seat for 2021/22. So of course you should pay more than us non ST holders.
You must be on a wind up, even tuffers isn't as thick as you.

Forgot about the digital programmes, throw them and extended highlights into the ST stream pass at no extra charge... sorted.

Re: Should ST holders get a refund?
Got to admit I can’t get excited over this. I don’t want refunds from the club, glad to help out in some small way.
But I now understand why some people do feel cheated. Non St holders get a game for £10, some ST holders in effect pay £13. I get concession rates so I get a £10 stream for £8. Lucky me. Maybe the club should bill me £2. Especially as I can watch with friends who pay £0. Lucky them.
So what price loyalty? The extra gives some free tickets during the season, the chance to retain a seat that allows you to sit with mates and priority for restricted access games. And at home have a few mates around who get to watch for free. And nobody has to pay for things like travel to the ground.
Don’t get much for the extra £3. Then again, maybe you do if you think about it.

If back in June the club had announced that the cost of the match day stream was going to be £15, so the equivalent of a ST (for most seats), then I would have renewed. I would imagine everyone would have.

Re: Should ST holders get a refund?
Someone mentioned the bonus match day tickets that season ticket holders receive (3 adults + 1 kid ticket IIRC)
It would be a nice gesture if the club made a couple of free TV passes available in the event it isn't possible to take up this offer due to lockdown. The marginal cost has to be next to nothing but it could still keep those occasional supporters connected to the club.

Re: Should ST holders get a refund?
I havent commented on this thread as yet, but heres my six penneth
It is possible, that no one will get in to see, live, a single match this season. Covid is on the march again......the number of infections increasing day by day etc etc.
so, this means all those that have bought a season ticket, will have basically given a few hundred pounds to the club, or thrown a few hundred quid down the drain, depending on how you look at it.
If i had three hundred pounds spare, that i didnt need, I would give it to charity.....to a needy and worthy cause, NOT put it in the hands of a couple of multi millionaires, or even maybe billionaire in Kents case.
Now, everyone can choose what they do with their money, but there was the club tempting us with offers back in June & July, when they knew that the likelihood of football being played in front of people was sketchy to say the least .
This whole thing leaves a nasty taste in the mouth, as far as Im concerned.

Re: Should ST holders get a refund?
Whilst I get your sentiment coyos, there is no way the club or owners knew where this covid was going to go. We thought this might happen or we think that might happen, but no one really knew, a guess at best to where this leads.
In my case for example, I doubt I’d pay to watch on a stream as I could be doing something else instead so the club would lose out on my season ticket money. Some games I’d tune into, but probably not many. I’ve tried to watch the games on sky when it returned and I was bored out of my mind most of the time. The only game I stayed to watch was a Man City game as they ran riot on their opponents, the rest was pretty dull.
Our owners have since their ownership put in millions which will as they’ve said will be written off as a loss. This season they will undertake another loss of £1.5m. The only taste I suspect will be in their mouths however, they are doing this cos they want to, because they want to make a difference and they want to have some joy out of being owners. I am thankful we have these owners who I do beleive will probably go on to be the best this club has ever had.
I know you love this club, get behind these owners cos I don’t think I’ve seen better in my lifetime.

Ain't going to see any games this season, if it even continues much longer.
