In an unrelated incident, I have a mate who has just returned from a gig in northern Italy. I asked him if he’s going to self-isolate due to Corvid-19. His reply?

And there’s the problem. London is massively reliant on the so-called gig economy, people who are “self-employed” which means they don’t get holiday or sick pay. They’re usually immigrant and low-paid. If they get sick are they going to stop working? No they’re not. If C-19 hits London hard then it’s gonna spread like wildfire. Hold on to your hats, kids.

On average 5 people were killed on the roads every day in Britain last year (2019) so should we all stay indoors till cars are banned ?

I had a meeting tomorrow and I’ve just had a call to advise it’s been cancelled as the company has formulated a plan to not let any visitors on to its sites in this country.

I see in the press Nike and Sony have all shut their London and Sunderland offices and Apple a Belfast store I guess for deep clean by people in hazmat suits. This doesn’t happen when people have the flu does it? Yet the flu kills upto 650k per year and this one a few thousand yet everything goes into overdrive for it.

Still think this is nothing to be worried about?

Oh and the death rate for flu is less than 1%, this has now hit 3.4% and climbing.

Can't believe all the goings on about this. Australia has sold out of toilet paper, as people are stockpiling. Someone pulled a knife in a supermarket in parramatta yesterday over toilet paper. Get a grip people.

I'm off to singapore this weekend. The great thing about this is that businesses are not flying anyone at the moment, so my business class upgrade using air miles has been granted, happy days.

We've covered this, its more deadly than flu (FACT) as it will kill 1-2% of those infected where as flu kills 0.1%
