That's quite the Wikipedia entry. In any sensible debate, you probably wouldn't want that person going in to bat for your side.

Maybe the most disturbing thread I’ve yet seen on child transition

Is there any polling to show public support for trans stuff? I feel like the tide has turned and the majority have seen sense, but its still being pushed by organisations.

I suspect public opinion has always been against ‘trans stuff’ but because of those coming at it from the right.
There’s definitely been an awakening amongst those on the left.

Has there? Apart from me and you, and some other in this thread, I'm not yet seeing this awakening? If anything, the silence from certain vocal lefty supporters of the TA movement remains deafening. I may have missed it, but has the likes of Owen Jones held their hands up yet?

Not sure if you or CEB are going to crumble first with this leftie schtick.
Receiving complaints about women's records being held by people who weren't born women? Just do a bit of scorched earth and remove all the records so no-one has any! Problem solved.

We just need to adopt the same approach for crime records and we'll have solved toxic masculinity.
See, when it's framed like this though it sounds reasonable enough. Maybe two separate issues are being conflated.

There's been some article doing the rounds today that suggests that milk from a trans woman's breast is just as nutritious for a baby as that from a real woman. I'd link to the article but leaving you all to search for "trans milk" is more fun.

The obvious thing about that is that if milk from a man’s breast is nutritious and good for a baby, why are men not routinely encouraged to take necessary steps to lactate to help share the burden of their female partner?

And that comes from the NHS

With the number of parents in this country choosing formula, do you really think people are bothered about nutrition and science?
The joke here is Stewie's revulsion is nothing to do with health-based facts and instead based purely on society's heteronormative and anti-trans approach to breastfeeding, nothing in that sketch suggests that Peter's breast milk isn't just as fulfilling and nutritious as Lois'.

That is true. However I find the funniest bit is right at the start when you see Peter thinking about it, plus the sly look sideyways. It suggests that what he's about to do is more for him than Stewie.

The question that that raises then, is this: what reasons might a male person have for wanting to breastfeed a child?
Is it more likely that
A: his inner soul has tits and so the poor womanly essence of the vulnerable woman trapped in a male body yearns to be able to nourish her child, sharing the burden with her life partner
or
B: he’s a f***ing pervert who would have been recognised unambiguously as a f***ing pervert until around 2015 when progressives lost their minds on this stuff
Hmmmm it’s a toughie

Seems an odd response to kind of gloss over the - I would have thought - unquestionably inherent misogyny within health care and historic family dynamics.
