Mr McMahon on Netflix - an interesting expose on the sleazy wrestling man.

New series of Day of the Jackal is, to my surprise, good. It doesn't try to recreate the film, but is a short series influenced by the book. I've watched three of the five episodes, so hopefully it doesn't tank in the final two, but so far this one is recommended.

Started it yesterday. Really enjoying it, though could do without the tired “can’t get to parents evening” trope

There's quite a few tropes in there, but I just accept that as part of the course, nowadays.

I was going to try to fit a malapropism into that last post but I couldn't be asked.

From reviews it seems like Gladiator II may be not sh*t.

I'm 3 or 4 episodes in now and very much enjoying it. Agree about the - shared - "work stopping me being a good parent" thing. Also a little bit put off by the Mission Impossible latex mask thing, but I'll let it slide.

Reviews suggest it's a paw film compared to its predecessors.

This is The Zodiac speaking (Netflix)- a lot of interesting new information here, which for me puts it beyond doubt that it was Arthur Leigh Allen.

Inspector Caca has cracked the Zodiac case. Didn’t expect that when the board disappeared for an hour

Only seen good reviews for it. 77% Fresh on RT.
Of course I'm going to go and hate it.

I've met Paul Mescal when he was appearing in A Streetcar Named Desire at the Almeida Theatre. He's actually got real stage presence and, despite being 1.8 meters, he 'seems' more physically imposing. But he was not right for a film like Gladiator.
