RIP Rob, a true hero and legend.
Absolutely.
MND, another bas***d disease, like cancer. I just hope the millions he raised for MND research helps lead to a cure.
Terrible and cruel disease.
RIP Rob Burrows.

Sorry for his family and all but Michael Mosley coming on the radio to tell me his cheerfully healthy tips when I was onto my third bottle of Westons and eating chips used to really wind me up and there's a tiny bit of me thinking 'how about not climbing up a mountain by yourself in 40 degree heat as a little tip for a longer healthier life'.

Good thing you said sorry to his family & all that or it could’ve come over as a little bit mean spirited

Blimey.
Feel very sorry for his wife and kids and just hope his end wasn’t too drawn out.
Don’t go anywhere on your own over 50 without a phone is what I’ve taken from this

Savage!
I’ve not followed it closely, what happened to him?

He went for a hike across rocky, hilly terrain in almost 40 degree heat on his own, without his mobile phone and drinking water. We have yet to establish the degree to which any of these factors contributed to his death.
Also, the terrain was challenging enough that one of the rescue workers searching for him had to be rescued when he slopped and broke his ankle.

Whilst not wanting to side with Mick and his brutal take, that's a bit daft isn't it?

We went from Rhodes to Symi about ten years ago for a day trip. The temperature was 44°c and the heat was muderous. My partner succumed after about 15 mintes to heat stroke and we went back to the ferry. How this 67 year old man went for a walk in 47°c heat is beyond me.
