Such a breath of fresh air to have a strong opposition leader and a functioning opposition again
How are the opinion polls looking for this functioning opposition?
Approval ratings for the leadership have gone from minus 54 in the last poll under Corbyn to plus 50 under Keir

It's so refreshing that the grown ups are leading the party again

A deflection for an answer. I'm assuming the party he leads is storming ahead in the polls.

I can therefore only conclude that he can't be much of a leader and that all we are hearing is hype.

Then you sir are a wrong concluder.

Starmer should be steaming into the Tories arms flailing like a tattie howker because lives are at stake.

His lawyerly approach isn't political and it's not working.

He's playing 3D chess, come across as statesmanlike on the telly.

Meanwhile he lets charismatic articulate shitposters like NuneatonOs do his dirty work against his enemies where it matters on message boards where votes are decided

It is possible to be statemanlike AND land political punches. Is it not?

If only he was funnier.

Labour members are not happy following Starmer's meeting with Labour Friends of India. He has repositioned Labour on the India/Pakistan/Kashmir issue, and said:

"We must not allow issues of the sub-continent to divide communities here. Any constitutional issues in India are a matter for the Indian Parliament, & Kashmir is a bilateral issue for India and Pakistan to resolve peacefully."

It's a fringe issue though so I don't expect Labour members to make a big deal of it

After all the complaints about what the nasty right wing Labour MPs did to the last leader we now see the the self-same attempts being made to undermine the new leader, its as if some people don't want Labour to be electable.

Thats a false comparison. The leftists are moaning and being critical but they are not undermining the leader on anything like the same scale as the red Tories.

Speaking of Zoom calls, Abbott and a fellow crank MP have been sharing platforms with high profile ex members expelled for racism.

Must be such a relief for her and the cranks to not have to pretend anymore

They’re serious with this ‘sharing a platform’ thing ain’t they? Embarassing.

Oh dear. I suppose that is the centrists fault too, another stitch-up etc.

Time for the old brigade to fade away and let the adults run the Labour Party.

Lot easier to establish who you are ‘sharing a platform with’ (ie who is in the audience) when there’s only 120 of you, I guess.

But Sirkak is appealing to "Patriots".

Not many in Scotchland. Can't speak for the Englanders. This is not going to end well for socialists.

Or 12 for that matter and 2 of them are high profile expulsions
