Re: Signings
TBH , I don’t think we need him . We already have enough full back cover . It’s in central midfield where we need strengthening

Re: Signings
Im not sure where Ling is ATM. If he is in USA with these summer camps, then nothing will happen.
This is par for the course anyway. We are always late making signings. Thats why in summer 2018 we ended up with Gorman & Alabi, probably the two worst summer signings for a long time
It frustrating, isnt it? Seeing other clubs signing players, and we havent signed anyone from outside

Re: Signings
I think Martin came back from America 2 or 3 weeks ago. Yes, it is very frustrating to see other clubs signing new players with ease when we still seem to be in the starting blocks. Just because we’re taking our time doesn’t mean to say other clubs aren’t making good signings and at a faster rate than us . Like you’ve already mentioned, we took our time before and ended up with Gorman and Alabi.Qin wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:29 am Im not sure where Ling is ATM. Wellens said in an interview he hope to get the out of contract players sorted first, then they could take there time on new signing sRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:39 amI think Martin came back from America 2 or 3 weeks ago. Re: Signings
Noticed that we've been linked with a few players, but have any of them already signed for another club?

Re: Signings
Personally I think we’ve already got a full complement for the season ahead. Unless we’re looking to move/loan players out, one or two more max.

Re: Signings
Barring injuries I think we're good enough for the play offs . However if we want to make the automatic spots we still need to sign another two or three good playersOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 11:51 am Personally I think we’ve already got a full complement for the season ahead. Re: Signings
After careful consideration, on my sun lounger, yep I’ll go for that. Based on our 16 game winless season of 17/18 followed by auto, I believe a repeat is in the stars given our 16 game winless run last season. Let’s play the coincidence - 2/3 more please.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 11:58 amBarring injuries I think we're good enough for the play offs . Re: Signings
Definitely need at least three proven players at this level or above that are not sick notes.

Re: Signings
I agree . I wish we'd pull our finger out because they are currently being snapped up by other clubs . Aaron Wildig would have been a good signing but has gone to Newport .PoundhillO wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 1:43 pm Definitely need at least three proven players at this level or above that are not sick notes.

Re: Signings
Correct ! He wanted the likes of James, Ruel , Archibald and Thompson to sign up new contracts before pre season starts.we have achieved that 100%. We also have offered and agreed contracts with several youth team members . We only need 2 or 3 new experienced recruits to complete the squad. Looking at the current L2 teams who have recruiting there does not appear to be quality players signing new contracts yet. Plenty of time to get the right players in.DaveDunmore wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:59 amWellens said in an interview he hope to get the out of contract players sorted first, then they could take there time on new signing sRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 10:39 amI think Martin came back from America 2 or 3 weeks ago. Re: Signings
Not good enough for strength in depth or quality in midfield. Both of which cost us last season and history will repeat if not addressed.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 11:51 am Personally I think we’ve already got a full complement for the season ahead. A few need to be headed out on loan or moved on so we can get the quality senior pros we need to compete at the top end of the league.

Re: Signings
Looking to go to higher league. Good striker but we have just as good already. Also will command a high wage that we cannot afford.

Would you like to name the strikers we have, that are just as good as Dom Telford?moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 4:10 pmLooking to go to higher league. Who are these good players that would make us a better team?
Funnily enough, I can't think of anyone we have that scored 20+ goals last season, as Telford did
