Is not the protocol or rules in the uk that if you have been in contact with a person that is found to be positive or be suspected of having the virus then you have to also isolate for a defined period

If that the case then what happens to the other players and staff that did not get sent home
So why did the West Ham v Hull game get played ?
Oxford v Crewe called off just now due to a positive Covid test and the need for the Oxford team to self isolate.
