Was at the County Ground tonight and a very good game it was too, great win for Essex and progress to the quarter finals.

Think I saw an England star in the making though in Kent's Zach Crawley, what a player he looks.

Still off to Old Trafford for the next round for us and off back over the bridge for Kent :-)

Fabulous win from Essex. Agree about Crawley - a real talent.

With 4 wash-outs who'd have thought we'd make the 1/4 finals. Certainly not me.

And now we've got to play the 1/4 final at Durham, not Manchester. FFS, that's an earlier start for the trip and the O's have Sarfend the night before.

Kind of negates home advantage for them :)

I can't believe that Essex have made it to the quarter finals, they looked dead and buried two weeks ago. They have some very good players at the moment adding Delport and Amir to the squad and Zampa seems to keep it tight. Anything could happen now.

Yes great run chase you never know seems we have struck the right balance so here’s hoping we can do it - playing with no fear which is great !

Will be keeping close to the radio over the next few days. Hope the fact that Overton and Leach are on England duty Somerset will miss their presence. Batting bonus points could be crucial - need to see some big runs out of Browne, Westley, Lawrence and - Cooke.

I'll be at Chelmsford next week. Life members lunch on day one and Boundary Club lunch on day 2, with an early departure for the O's evening match. Blow watching the cricket

Somerset win...cidermen in poll position for first county championship title.
Makes the last game a definite winner takes all

A draw with Warwickshire is the best we could hope for, we are now 8 points behind Somerset with 2 games to play.
