But if Richie can’t handle it then fair play for giving it up.
Gave up on the team last year
Given up on the fans this year
Let’s hope we get the results in the field.
If its not the Chairman its the Owner.

Are they ?The Reverend wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2026 7:16 pmAre they not? I’m sure there’s something in there about media duties. If this is the case, lol at his ideas of being a top manager one day. If he can’t cope with Orient’s fans..
Part of His contracted Duties !
In The Premier League maybe & on National television perhaps, but on the Club website or its
you tube channel I'd very much doubt.

Still Paul Terry. The only rational explanation is that they've swapped roles.

So I'm wondering is that it then with Richie to taking no more interviews . Does this signal he's leaving ? I sincerely hope that's not the case and he stays . I've said it before and i'll say it again , if anybody can get us into the Championship it's Richie

Re: Wheres Richie
It still doesn't necessarily have to be a big deal, but if he doesn't come out post game, the Club needs to put out some kind of explanation as to why the manager hasn't done media duties for 3 games in a row. You can't just pretend it's not happening and is all perfectly normal.

Re: Wheres Richie
Bizarre isn't it. Richie talks a lot about mental resilience and character in players, but won't do a basic and very undemanding part of his job, presumably because he hasn't liked what a few punters have said to him after a year of dreadful home performance.

If your being constantly slagged off, if your son is constantly being slagged off, if fans are calling for your head and are generally clueless what would you do?

However I do agree that it really isn't as

Unfortunately, a football manager cannot keep his head below the parapet. If you like the cheers, you'll have to accept the jeers. I think Richie knows that and I hope he'll soon be back in to full steam.

Re: Wheres Richie
If he's taking a break because he doesn't like some of the comments thrown his way, whether it's the right way to approach things or not, someone just needs to explain that. Leaving the void means it gets filled with speculation. Also, if he thinks anyone's been out of order, he's not backwards in coming forwards, it's weird he's not come out and "tell it like it is".

Re: Wheres Richie
Usually I'd agree that not everything needs an explanation and fans are too needy for information (and society in general). But the manager apparently declining to do a main - and mandatory - part of his role for the best part of a month jsn't really a minuscule detail, is it? I know you'll probably argue that it is just for the sake of it, but worth a try.

Re: Wheres Richie
I'd say that was pretty unarguable.
Doing post match interviews is an integral part of a manager's match day duties.
Not doing them over a period of time is unacceptable
