You should remember that although in 2022, a SuperFan was sent to prison by the Metropolitan Police, it was for a crime he did not commit. This SuperFan was released from the maximum security stockade without charge.

We've obviously got a fan base who have never done anything wrong in their lives, squeaky clean bunch.

The onus is obviously on Simpson to show he is genuinely remorseful. Omozusi and Otto both did incredible work after their f*ck ups to atone for what they did, with the former doing the f*cking up whilst he was actually at the club, and you'd hope Simpson will do the same.

It's one of those where he could go on to become a widely respected anti racism campaigner, in which case some people on this thread will look like idiots for how moralistic they've been, or he goes on to show no capacity for certain atonement or growth, in which others (including Wellens and club management) look like idiots. Only time will tell.
