Madelene Wright seems to be doing well with two assists on Sunday.
This seems more than just a publicity stunt, although she must surely earn much more money elsewhere than playing for the O’s.
they don't earn anything playing for Orient

90 minutes to kick off so, in the absence of news to the contrary, it looks like it's game ON at the Myrak ground in Buckhurst Hill for Leyton Orient Women Vs Regents Park.
wouldn't have thought their would be a problem daughter played in Chingford 11.30 this morning pitch was a bit sticky but perfectly playable.

This looks odd to me, but if the ref allowed it by mistake would that cause the game to be cancelled. Maybe return subs are allowed in women's football at this level though?
@LOFCWomen
65' Substitution. Hunt comes off for Hughes
85' Substitution. Hunt is back on for Miller.

Nope.
They are tier 7, that's "grass roots" or close to it. The whole women's organisation within LOFC is very much a work in progress, there's no overt ambition to make it more than a community activity for now, Travis regards the process as "steady as she goes". The club spends a fair bit in terms of kit, gear, coaching staff, admin, development officer, league fees, training, travel, PR/marketing... there's probably much more. The only redress for the club are the player sponsorship packages (lofcwomen.com are kit sponsors for Lola Duroyaiye) and input from Eastdil and others.
Briefly, it is Hackney Marshes football at the moment but dressed up to look far more than it is, this encourages good players to come to Orient. Most of the other teams in our league are run by community, university or local organisations. There are several levels to go above us before players start getting paid. Despite Spurs using Brisbane Road, they are in a different stratosphere to us so we won't be getting fringe players from them ... not yet anyway.
If you look at the case of the poor girl Maddy Cusack who died recently she played in the Women's Championship for Sheff United. Was on £6,000 a year working two other jobs and basically expected to behave like a pro athlete.
