What's Róisín Murphy done exactly?

I can barely be bothered to keep up with all the bat-sh*t craziness of this issue, but she seems to have said something on Facebook about puberty blockers that got the Trans rights crowd baying for her blood. She then issued an apology for "stepping out of line", and the crowd are now going even more nuts. One comment I read was that she was supporting genocide.

Anyone able to clarify if she's a goodie or a baddie in this, without me having to do my own research?

She posted on her personal Facebook that she disagreed with puberty blockers given to children. Someone from her personal Facebook screenshot it and she got called a fascist and a terf for several days.
She released a statement apologising for hurting anyone’s feelings and saying she’ll step back. The trans activists accuse her of wanting to kill trans kids and the right wing GC people that Maxxx’yyyy often portrays as the only group objecting to trans activism accused her of being a coward for not immediately joining the ranks of the people who care about nothing else.

Basically she’s a goodie who has been bullied from two sides for saying something that’s totally in line with medical evidence and the trends in several countries to row back from the “affirmation approach” in young kids

Ta. So, she "stepped out of line" by expressing a relatively mainstream view, and is now being put back in her place. I was just briefly scanning below her statement on Twitter/X, and it just reads like lots of negative comments from blokes.

But she's got lots of sensible people stepping in to support her, right?

the problem is not so much the obvious fetishist who clearly enjoys involving others in indulging his paraphilia, but is the fact that any systemic means of saying no to this guy have been dismantled in a political context where there is no legitimate basis on which to take issue with this. This is what self ID actually means in practice. (This is in Canada, I believe)

For example: once you accept that a man can literally be a woman, and that to be a woman he might want to have breasts, there is no longer any legitimate basis to say “whoa there, you’re taking the piss by having tits like that”.
Once you enshrine in law that a “trans woman” doesn’t need to have surgery to be a woman, but can affirm his sense that he’s a woman by changing his appearance to be more “feminine’, there are no legitimate grounds to say “well it;d be OK if you had a C-cup, but this is ridiculous”
Once you enshrine in law that questioning someone’s identity is a hate crime, saying to a man “I think you’re wearing a pair of fake tits because you’re a pervert who is enjoying the negative intention” is impossible, because why would you think HIS tits are fake, and think that HE is a pervert, if you don’t question “cis” women with big tits?

It’s almost as if if you

1: introduce laws that allow male people to self ID as women, with no criteria necessary for qualifying as actually being a woman
2: are in thrall to a branch of identitarians who reinforce the idea that teenage girls experiencing discomfort and unhappiness during puberty (imagine!) are doing so because they are really boys
3: have a medical industry that demonstrably makes money from people being lifelong hormonal patients, and makes money from “yeeting the teets” as happily enthusiastic Canadian doctors openly, proudly describe double mastectomies for teenage girls
4: enshrine gender identity in law so that in crimes only gender identity is recorded, and not sex, meaning that there is literally no data available for monitoring anything where sex is relevant (eg, a trans woman criminal is recorded as “female”; if the teacher with the fake tits is sacked, it’d be recorded as a woman being sacked)

then it’s easy to see why instances of trans identity in both sexes are on the rise in Canada specifically.

How did Canada get there? Politeness and people on the left believing it’s just like gay rights, and not paying much attention.
