Starmer is really impressive. Nowhere to hide in the Commons Chamber now with all the noise drowned out.

Dear oh dear:

Pressure on Johnson as UK's daily Covid testing target missed again

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... y-in-a-row

Boris Johnson and the Tory Government............missing the target more often than Colin West.

At least they've now set another arbitrary target of 200,000 a day rather than a workable and sustainable system. Still, at least the end of May will be good for testing before it goes back down.

Official government data, daily updates on people tested for C-19:

6th May: 65,093
5th May: 57,006
4th May: 69,839
3rd May: 62,956
2nd May: 56,397
1st May: 63,667
30th April: 73,191

30/4 Target: 100,000 per day. :D
31/5 Target: 200,000 per day.

Every day, yet another Tory failure.

Truly PATHETIC!

Well that was a lot of use, change the slogan to be ambiguous and then don't quantify what it means. Increase the penalties for things that the public don't know about and the Police don't want to deal with.

There's growing unease within the Tory ranks with Boris's handling of this.

Well, well, well - there’s a surprise.

Should we write the outcome now?

A few low-level Tories thrown under the bus, Boris and co. totally exonerated and some meaningless committee set up (probably to meet annually) to come up with some wishy-washy proposals.

Exonerate themselves entirely, blame political enemies for your own failings then leak it to the press leaving the party open to serious financial damage.

Oh, wrong report

Indeed.

Starmer QC appears forensic with his evidence and cross-examination.

He, yet again, absolutely dissected Johnson the :clown.

It was also abundantly clear that Johnson completely failed to answer in any way, two of Starmer's six questions. Considering the fact that he would have had these in advance; in order for his minions to prepare answers; it just go to show the disarry of this inept, lying Tory Government.

Roll on next Wednesday! :D

Are you sure about that? My understanding is that the PM probably doesn't get most questions in advance, at least not from the opposition, as the intention would be to test the PM rather than give him the opportunity to rehearse answers.

Just checked this and I stand corrected.

In other news, does anyone know how many days this month the Tories have hit their stated target of testing 100,000 people per day?
