He wouldn’t get a game in my Sunday League side
Mate, they don't call him the goal-machine for nothing....

....hang on a minute.

Because we started with three of our January duds . it’s like we started tonight with only 8 players.Next season I reckon Coleman will be fifth choice in central midfield. Ray and Nouble will be playing in the National League.

Kyp was terrible, Khan was terrible, Ray can't pass to anyone other than Beckles, Even Smyth was ineffective.
Shocking performance, really shocking
It was’t even that good

I really do think there’s something in this.

Oldham away on a Tuesday night. Bit of breathing space between us and the drop zone. Use it to prove how dog sh*t the Jan signings were. Without too much damage. And certainly not in front of a home crowd.

Wellens knows what he’s doing tonight.
About the only explanation that makes sense.
Basically the way Fletcher needed to do it when he wanted rid of certain DoF / Travis favourites. Let's hope the owners have learnt and don't question any player Wellens wants replaced.
They didn’t do it with KJ - do you have any greater confidence it will be different for Wellens? I have my doubts tbh.😕

He's on now

Injuries racking up and the players who had an opportunity didn't take it

What’s he saying in his Oldham accent?

Nouble is not good enough for NL
Seriously how much are we paying this guy to wear the Orient shirt, I hope we are paying him by the goal 👌

Nowhere near the energy levels
Nowhere near the intensity
Nowhere near the press we've had in previous weeks

Learnt more about the players in defeat and gave the opportunity for squad players to play ahead of summer.

No, I think it backs up the thoughts above. He basically said to the Jan signings prove yourselves and it's ended with RW saying the players who came in showed less energy than the ones who needed a rest.

"Food for thought for summer" says all you need to know.

If we want something from Walsall we can’t start with Ray , Nouble or Coleman unless of injuries. Just stick with our strongest side now for the rest of the season. Wellens should know now just how bad they are. He should now just forget our January duds and send our loanee’s back to their parent clubs . Next stop after that for Ray and Nouble is the National League.

Wellen’s knows and has learnt a lot from tonight from fringe players.
Basically he now knows not to start them ever again.

It reminds me a bit when JE came in and gave everyone a chance. Some like Widdowson took it and became key members of the squad whereas others were soon shipped out. Summer will be very interesting.

Nah.

Why risk smyth if that was the plan?
The guy needs to build match fitness. Has he ever completed 90 minutes for us?

Lots to think about tonight. Hector and Coleman can’t play together .They we’re overrun in midfield. Khan is not a right back. Don’t know where he can fit in this team. Ray very poor. Ogie must return. Right winger badly needed. Noble won’t get into a National League team .He is worse than Alabi.. Tonight there was only one team who wanted to win . Good luck to Oldham.

No he hasn’t.

Which is why you don’t risk someone with such obvious issues after just 48 hours recovery.

This must be the most disappointed I’ve felt this season after a defeat. Oldham we’re there for the taking if only we fielded the team that beat Barrow . Obviously one change needed to replace Archibald

Yes, I got up at 2.30 am to watch that. I should have got some more much needed beauty sleep.

If Wellens was experimenting, he should then experimentally refund the travelling expenses to the fans who travelled up to Oldham
