No experience at management level being a captain is completely different
Danny Webb has the experience he did ok under a lot of pressure last time round and is a no nonsense guy just like JE he knows the players how the club works etc
For me Danny with Ross at his side
Jobi and Brill can still be mentors etc
Jobi is going to have a long and successful career within the game after he stops playing. I'm certain of it. I'd like him to start on that path here.

He has Lingy above for guidance. He has a squad of players below who idolise him.

Don’t you need coaching badges etc to be a manager/coach
I think he said on an interview he’s been done them already, as a pro he will be fast tracked as well, so I’d guess he’s on his A level badge which lets you manage in the EFL.

Blimey I really thought the statement was going to prepare us for something positive to make up for the deep joy of welcoming Josh Wright back to the club: A side-passing midfielder par excellence who is not even the best footballer in his own family.
We will now have a week of crown jewels moving on and the arrival of a clutch of hopeful but probably tarnished and in all likelihood garbage replacements.
At least the club will be able to balance the books.

There will be a lot of talk about keeping the club “sustainable” all summer. Season tickets up 40%. 1 player signed on a free and the other one for pretty much 2 months wages. That’s either going to be the pattern or they’re the easy deals done early and first.

We paid what his release clause required us to pay for him, in exactly the same way Charlton did for Bonne. Just because the release fee is set at a certain level, it doesn't mean that it matches the players value.

Yes, because we had to accept such a clause at a low price in order to get anything for him. If we had gone higher and the offer had been rejected, he could have walked for free this summer, or for a tribunal cost which I'd imagine would be somewhat less than whatever we have got for him.

When will people realise that we have always been a selling club and that will probably never change. Mind you, I've been going since 1966 so what do I know.

The reality of football. It’s not always the club that calls the shots. Sometimes you do the best you can and accept it.

I'm talking about Wilkinson. Like I said they're either going for everything on the cheap or they're getting the easy deals done early. Then spending money on quality.

Wilkinson isn’t a cheap signing.

Dagenham chairman confirmed they matched his Gillingham L1 wages, so you can be certain we’ve had to do the same.

What a load of CR.P! What season tickets have gone up 40% (If you are referring to the kids tickets then your maths is still wrong) For most ST's the increase was fairly modest and one I was very happy to pay and took advantage of the early deal.

You just don't get it do you?

Moan when we get relegated, complain about a non existent 40% rise.

I have never felt so confident about our club with our new owners and the way they have handled the passing of Justin with such sensitivity sets a very high standard. Just for once let them do their job, appoint who they want and we get on with giving 100% support to the club at this very difficult time.
Do you really think 'balancing the books' is an appropriate thing to say to two very successful men who literally poured money into Orient and were happy to do so to keep the club going.
You really p.ss me off with your carping and negativity.

Pipe down you tit. I was quoting a percentage I'd seen posted several times by people, but it's clearly wrong. Mine has gone up 20%.

Err I quoted what YOU said above about a 40% hike in season tickets so don’t blame someone else. I could claim someone called you an imbecile but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are, does it?

You're something else. I explained I saw the figure repeated by others, admitted it was wrong and corrected it. The next line is clearly in relation to the other nonsense you replied with.

Disagree mate.

A tribunal would definitely have awarded us moe than £200k. Would have had a sell on %age too.

Makes you wonder if we’d have been better off going down that route?

I've no idea what the tribunal fee would be, I was just making the assumption that it would be less than whatever the clause was, as the clause and new contract would then be pointless.

Any change of name of a stand could still be some way off, as it would have to be when the family is ready, as surely, they would need to be there when it happens (at a game)

I reckon that’s an incorrect assumption.

A release clause - let’s say it was £200k as per the rumours - gives certainty to Charlton. Would they have offered Macca a deal if they didn’t know what the fee would be? Possibly not.

I think it's safe to assume we have some sell on clause inserted as well.
