We seem to live in a world of fake news. If he did travel, he should resign, failing that then be kicked out.
You’re querying if it happened?
No.
Let me rephrase. He travelled, he should resign. If he won’t resign he should be sacked.
The fake news. I tend not to believe everything I read, too much spin. But He did travel and that’s good enough for me.

People should start looking more closely at Cummings and his links to Russia. Have a look at what campaigns he has been involved in over the years. Who does it benefit in the long term or they would hope it would benefit in the ling term? Remember Putin was KGB. His aim is to weaken the EU and he has been chipping away for his whole life especially since the fall of the Soviet Union. He wants to go back to those days. He uses proxies and intelligence services to try and exploit weaknesses. What happened the "Russian Interference Report"? Has it been published yet?
I was reading about some of his links to Firtash yesterday. Does make you wonder if Boris CANNOT sack him because he knows too much..
You very well be onto something here. He did try to set up an airline from Russia to Austria, Vienna. Wonder, where Firtash is now??
I see he has shared some of the same celebrity lawyers that Trump has used over the years too.

And a little reminder when Boris was briefly the Foreign Secretary.

I think he'll go today or tomorrow if he cannot account for the extra trip on 12th or he went back on 19th. The first trip was just about justifiable.
As Steve Baker said: "The country can't afford this nonsense, this pantomime, Dominic should go and we should move on and deal with things that matter in people's lives."

Well yeah, that's kind of the point. The Guardian link for example reports on a time when Mr Cummings wasn't working for either of the two men central to the story

Justifiable? How was it justifiable? He completely broke the rules - the rules that he was involved in making for us plebs. Then his sheer arrogance (hardly unusual in this government) makes him believe that he can just ignore said rules. They don't apply to him.
Even today he's turning round telling journalists, and by extension the rest of us as well, that he doesn't care what they think. He doesn't give a crap what we think about this as he believes he's too important to be punished. He can do whatever he wants to. He needs to be put right about that. Bye Dom!
PS - a quick kick in the nadgers wouldn't go amiss either.

Not sure that he has broken the rules.
Didn't someone on here post that they could drive from Redbridge roundabout to Durham and back in under an hour

Even if you accept the pretty implausible premise that his parents outhouse was the only place they could go to, a 270 mile drive with an as of yet uninfected kid seems like such a stupid way to go about. Could his family not have come picked him up? What if Cummings and his wife's symptoms had both taken a turn for the worse whilst on the road? Given that we were getting an idea then of how bad hospitals were as places of transmission, what if Cummings had been hospitalised whilst in Durham and created a spike of infections?

The bloke has made a career out of playing to people's worst, most vindictive instincts and is now at the receiving end of the mother of all press and social media pile ons. Hard to sympathise with the guy.

It’s good to see that there’s almost universal agreement on this - only the staunchest of tories and cabinet members are defending him.
The excuses are so clearly bullshit. They wanted to self isolate in a nice rural location rather than inside London. I totally get that. Just be honest about it.

I tend to sit on the side and wait for more info then go with my first initial gut reaction, rarely fails
Mummy and Daddy both dead
Social Distancing not a problem, face mask and gloves be spatially aware, go out twice a day just walking, can if necessarily sit all day and do diddly squat or shift my arse, ask neighbours if they want anything at shops be generally a goofer, I can beat this virus easy peasy, I can sit it out more than it can sit me out, also helps that think I caught this thing back in early feb laid me out for 8 days, one son 5 days, other one escaped scot free, jammy dodger
See you back at footie soon, we will win easy just concentrate.

people diagnosed with Covid 19 wether you think you had it or not..
Same boat for me with parents so not telling you to do it .
Just pointing out what the kitty dominic did.

Prince Charles cleared off to Scotland with the Virus. No press campaign then
The Queen hid away at Windsor instead of staying at home, same again
Remember Cornwall said don't come here and block up our hospitals, but those rules don't apply to royalty even though they are only guidelines

Hmmm, that's the kind of cheap stunt that can backfire. It allows defenders of the government to muddy the waters by bringing the politics and funding of whichever group has organised this into the frame.
Up until now it had been about government credibility. Now watch it become all about bitter remainers just looking for any opportunity to get Cummings.
Cummings just won.
