Did you read the report? It was alledged that he was spat at, if true that’s self defence. Let me ask you this.

On this board you and we all get in to some arguments I think it would be fair to say. Would you stand there and let someone spit in your face after having an argument with them? If you say you would do nothing then you are either a liar or a fool.

If it’s true what’s been said then I don’t blame him for punching the person responsible, spitting is one of the lowest things you can do to someone, absolutely vile. I also see all the others were arrested as well, seems there might be some justification to what he is saying.

When I have had disagreements with someone, I have never been in a position where I've been spat at. Even suggesting such a thing, makes me think that you need to look at your circle of friends and acquaintances.

If I was spat at, then as a pacifist and a Christian that abhors violence, no I would not respond by punching the person. You can call me a liar or a fool for taking that stance - but to be perfectly frank, I can't even imagine myself ever getting into that position in the first place! I certainly haven't for the last 56 years, so I must be doing something right?

Turning to your other more relevant point, you have hit the nail firmly on the head with the term 'alledged'. Because, as far as I am aware, there is aboslutely no evidence whatsoever that Stephen Yaxley-Lennon was spat at - is there? I'm willing to be proved wrong.

Given that wherever he appears tends to get recorded, either by his supporters or otherwise, wouldn't you imagine that this spitting incident would have recorded and materialised by now? Don't you think that, in itself, is a little strange?

Any video of him with 'gob on his mush' is there Thor? I'm sure that he would have played to the camera and pointed this out, either before or after he decked the guy.

What I find very strange is that you are willing to take the word of a proven liar and criminal on the matter.......don't you think that there's just some possibility he is lying as some sort of (very weak) defence for his subsequent assualt for when the old bill turned up; or when he realised (once again) he'd unlawfully assaulted someone?

Because without this evidence, your post basically has the depth of a grain of sand.
