Certainly no reason to keep him in the squad, as even Widdowson scored the other week

Our recent performances would suggest we're a bit more than that . We scored 4 against them today and we didn't even have either of our first choice strikers on the pitchB.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 5:23 pm The Grimsby "Fishy" forum are not happy, reckon we are a nothing team. Only last month Swindon came to BR and run rings around us winning 1-3, and going second or third in the table while we were struggling near the bottom. We are now just two points behind them and second highest scorers in the division.
It's a funny old game this football!

Isn’t it just.I mentioned a couple of weeks ago after Swindon demolished us they’ve been on a downward spiralChief crazy horse wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 6:50 pm Only last month Swindon came to BR and run rings around us winning 1-3, and going second or third in the table while we were struggling near the bottom. What a brilliant afternoon, like others didn't see that coming.
The clean sheet & Alabi's goal were real bonuses. Am delighted for the lad, obviously not the most skilful player but that goal will hopefully do his confidence the world of good & result in an improvement which will help the team.
But let's not carried away, early days.
Well done to RE & big respect for taking the reins after Justin's tragic death.
Well things are clear now - Fletcher out!

Watch the goal (and the subsequent run if that’s also on the highlights, which I doubt) back on the highlights and tell me if I’m wrong.Lucky7 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 4:55 pmSo we win and you still find something to be critical about jeezRedO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 4:53 pmDon’t get me wrong, even as he was running with the ball he looked uncomfortable, like he’s not at full pace whilst dribbling with it, but it worked.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 4:47 pm
So , he can do it after all . Yay , now 4-0 to Orient . Happy days .
Has had another run since, again looks so uncomfortable running with the ball at his feet.
I’m not, by the way.

If he scores and wins a penalty I don’t give a sh*t if the odd run is crap.RedO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 10:29 pmWatch the goal (and the subsequent run if that’s also on the highlights, which I doubt) back on the highlights and tell me if I’m wrong.

Plus, of course, we haven’t actually scored 10 goals in three games. We’ve scored 7. Not like Dwarf”yyyy to get things horribly wrong...Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 5:12 pmIt was last season. Great result today. Nearly halfway to safety.

Re: Grimsby (a) Match / Exiles Thread
I mentioned promotion a few pages back but I hope I'm not getting too carried away. There's still a lot for our new manager to sort out, especially with the defence. ( and a lot of that will be confidence) But I have to say I'm feeling a lot more confident about things down Brisbane Road way.
