Re: Wheres Richie
PT has done the pre match interview for the Plymouth game too. RW seems to be giving the media stuff a complete swerve at the moment.

Re: Wheres Richie
Breaking my fast here briefly cos no one’s hit the nail on the head with his one. It’s pretty obvious what’s happened.
As entertaining as they are Richie literally can’t help speaking the truth. And it can obviously have a negative impact on the squad. In one of the programmes gandler talked about implementing a positive vibes only culture (my words not his).
I’d be 99% sure that one of these is the reason behind it:
1) Richie is self aware enough to know he can’t help himself and maybe whilst trying to get things back on track he needs to step away from things to see if that helps.
2) there’s been a conversation from the top about how his interviews could be affecting morale, Richie’s taken it badly and is sulking.
3) Richie has been given a directive to stop talking to the press because of the affect it has on players.
Hope it’s not the latter but the more I hear from gandler the clearer it is he knows nothing about how things work.
Really miss his interviews and it’s a ridiculous state to be in that your manager never talks to the media but proof will be in the pudding over the next few months. Whatever one it is, it’s not really sustainable

Yes, he can be a bit prickly in post match interviews but even Richie can keep it together in the pre match ones.
This is him sulking about stick from fans (whether that's the bloke in the West trapping off at him, on-line stuff or something else, I don't know).

Think most of us know what would happen if we went to work next week and decided that we weren’t gonna do some of the tasks we are paid to do because we are sulking.
If this is the case, lol at his ideas of being a top manager one day. If he can’t cope with Orient’s fans..

He keeps it together, I’m not talking about ranting but he calls out individuals or has digs without realising it.
It’s what makes him him but can see why management and someone who doesn’t know how football operates would tell him to reign it jn

Re: Wheres Richie
Last season revealed a toxic workplace culture from Richie.
Bellowing instructions from the bench, its controlling behaviour and just makes the players anxious.
Unhinged and insulting interviews.
It is too much for the players and thank goodness he's gone into exile, lets hope results improve.

Guarantee that after a few more wins, when we're near the top of the table, he'll be back on interviews calling out the fans that doubted him and his judgement after a few poor results. 100% guaranteed.

Re: Wheres Richie
I’m afraid media duties are an essential part of a managers job.
But if Richie can’t handle it then fair play for giving it up.
Gave up on the team last year
Given up on the fans this year
Let’s hope we get the results in the field.

Re: Wheres Richie
I'd love the club to drop an AI Richie into one of these pre-match interviews loaded up with some suitably inane answers to the dull PR managed questions. Then we could play a game each time of is it Richie or Robbie (robot) Wellens
