Worse, was implying black contestants did well due to their colour rather than cooking ability, we were shocked.

Can I shock youse? I don't mind Grace Dent. I'm only glad Jay Rayner didn't get the gig. The man's a glutton.

I have an entirely irrational dislike of Grace Dent. I've no idea why - and I don't go around disliking people willy-nilly - but there's something about her that I just don't like.

Jay Rayner, on the other hand, while I recognise that he's a nepo-baby, I like. I'm sure we'll see him as guest presenter etc - he has a good agent.
