All we can hope for is RW gets a nice magic wand and hat for Xmas so he can perform a few tricks and pull out a couple of strikers.
I knew we would miss Idris, but didn’t realise how much he drove us forward as a team, we miss him soooo much.

Everyone knows Agyei should be starting up front - sadly RW doesn't seem to want to admit that fact and persists with Kelman as main forward. And sadly we have no other options

Does this bloke have any ideas how to run a successful league 1 football team?

We miss El Miz big time.
We played without a proven striker these past seasons and got away with it becasue we had some class in mid-field - that's gone and we're left with a pile ....

The week before he said he needed one. No doubt the board had a word in between as per his January rant about the (lack of) striker recruitment.

Yes, he had us on an unbeaten run last season until the recruitment team let him down in January

Bottom 6 in L1 already 5 points adrift of the rest
Forget all about the play offs. We have a bad team so this season is just all about survival . I really don't know why we didn't sign a new striker during the Summer .
It all boils down to the fact we cannot afford a decent forward who can score goals.

I think we could afford him of Ling could find him,

The main issue we’ve had for what, 4 years now, is that we don’t score enough. Even when we were L2 champions we struggled to score, and had we got ourselves a decent striker we’d have pissed the division by March.
Overall our recruitment has been shocking. We’ve bought more duds since Ling has been in charge than I can remember since 1978.
As for Wellens, my kid has called him a gobby northern poo poo, and I can’t disagree. He’s as stubborn as f**k, even when it’s clear he’s got it wrong.
I’d be surprised if he’s still out manager at the end of the season

Ironically the last decent strike partnership by goal tallies we had was bought by Jackett ending up in an awful season.
I'm convinced Wellens can turn it round, but I think the idea of progress this year won't be happening for most fans. I think we have more than enough to stay in the division, but that isn't satisfactory to most. Particularly with the over commercialism aimed at fans by the board.

Which again had a downturn triggered by appalling recruitment in a transfer window. There's a recurring theme here.
Just seen the goal, appalling from Brown no pace or even nous to draw a foul and stop the counter. That in a nutshell is why he's just a squad player at this level, any talk of him taking over from El Miz is ridiculous. Hemming should do better with the shot as well imo, it's not struck that hard and obvious where it's going.

Both the Lincoln scorers were their academy products!
Why on earth can't we find a decent striker from our academy?

How has Lemmings let that in from that angle?

When Wellens says ‘soft underbelly’, he really means sh*t keeper. Hemming might not be throwing goals in every week like he was but he’s still not actually saving anything.
Vigs saves that, comfortably.

I think harsh to blame the keeper but I agree he hasn’t saved anything I wouldn’t expect him to. Vigs did that regularly. I thought Simpson was poor yesterday and needs a kick up the rear. We need more from Ollie though it’s not a lack of effort. I think there are places up for grabs all over the team. As RW says a few players need to grab the opportunity. Will be good to have Happe back.

Two other players (TJ and Obeiro?) also get suckered in, not just Brown. But that’s how we play - aggressively, on the front foot, gambling on winning the ball back. The problem is the second DM should be in the space into which the bloke runs but he’s nowhere to be seen.
That and the keeping, of course.

But Ethan Coleman was the best signing this club has possibly made?

Agreed. Oberio was just a culpable as Brown in the build up imho.

The ball didn’t go in the corner. That was another goalkeeping error. Lemmings just dropped on the floor like a sack of spuds.

Totally agree , we were on an unbeaten run and the recruitment team and lack of funds put paid to a decent January transfer window, same old, same old.

Wellens took us from the 4th tier of football to the 3rd tier and many on here ever since still have him standing on the highest pedestal. Most of his football is a bore watch unless you favour midfield possession and tapping it backwards and forwards with goals being a rarerity to come by. I think he's overrated and I wonder if his bolshy character affects the players in expressing themselves more.
