When was the last time we dropped a goalkeeper? Outfield player has a few bad games and he is replaced. Problem is the number 2 keeper is not normally the required standard for the league we are in

He dropped the ball vs Bolton
Pushed one in vs Newport
Passed it to their striker vs Birmingham

He's cost us 2 points

He’s had a hand - or not had a hand, rather - in every goal conceded. He hasn’t actually saved anything yet.

He should have done better with Charltons goal and Mays 1 on 1 yesterday, both attempts were laughable.

Should/could have done better for the others, but not mistakes.

It’s all very strange. We’ve had keepers make mistakes before but this one literally looks like he’s only ever played in goal at 5 a sides. Just how gks at this level look doing certain things is different. For that May one he does everything you shouldn’t do.
Reminds me of the kid in the Neville southall/michael Owen video

I think you could argue that not putting his hands out to save Boltons first was a mistake

Wellens on the sideline “well done, he’s 24”

Just rewatched that one, he isnt at full stretch but is caught off guard by the goalscorer hitting it on the half volley.

If there's a half decent keeper in there, now his confidence is so shot, he's unlikely to find any form without a change. For his benefit as much as ours.

Actually feel sorry for the geezer. Must be poo poo for him too. In a way it would probably be kind to give him a mental rest for a few weeks

You are claiming in another post that you had never mentioned me before today (Sunday), and you’re now on here responding to a quote which shows that to be categorically untrue.

Have you been drinking?

He’s had 3 seasons in the Scottish first division which, from his performances so far, IMO jshows how poor that division is.

His confidence must be at an all time low and god knows how he sleeps at night knowing that he’s largely responsible for our poor start.
Most keepers make mistakes but obviously the better ones make far less.
We haven’t really seen if he’s a good shot stopper or not ‘cos he’s not faced that many shots of note, bar the one at the Valley.
The problem for him is that keepers nowadays need to be good with their feet as well as their hands, and Hemming doesn’t look great with either.
He needs a break.
Howes can’t be any worse and while he may also not be a L1 keeper, there’s no point in him being here if he’s not getting a look in.

It was a mistake . I think he thought it was going wide and let it go . I thought keepers normally made a save just to make sure . As Slender rightly pointed out , Hemming has cost us at least two points . It will be interesting to see if the club does anything about it this week . If we keep Hemming then I believe we're in trouble this season .

Agreed and that's why he needs to go back to Middlesborough

Maybe it’s as simple as he doesn’t want to be at Orient . Well he might have done well at St Mirren but he’s pants at Orient . I don’t know what’s wrong with him but he’s clearly not for us . He can go back to Middlesbrough and sort his head out before he puts us any relegation trouble. When I think about the next few teams we’re up against we could end up being this seasons Cheltenham. They never recovered from that bad start and were relegated . For God’s sake get rid of Hemming while we’ve still got a chance.

If we score more goals than shots on our goal we’ll be ok.
