Dan& Shaq were brilliant up front. So much movement, skill, power, Portsmouth couldn't cope.
Long long time since we had such power up front, and what a difference it makes.
Defence magnificent too. Portsmouth never really looked like scoring.
Best we've played for years imo

After the first half shambles at Bolton you have to say our defence has responded brilliantly. Well done to all our defenders . Fantastic stuff .

If Shaq keeps this up we're going to want to keep him on a permanent contractComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 5:31 pm Dan& Shaq were brilliant up front. So much movement, skill, power, Portsmouth couldn't cope.

I was watching the scores on BBC iplayer Final Score. As there wasn't much Premier action it was a scratch team of 5 Live presenters being televised. I was surprised at the way the studio presenters dissed Orient. They made out that Pompey was some sort of Football Royalty. Apart from our brief sojourn in Non-League Football, Portsmouth has had a fairly similar track record to ourselves

Apart from winning the FA cup in 2008, a few promotions and 7 years in the Premier League, yeah, fairly similarFriend or faux wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:50 pm I was watching the scores on BBC iplayer Final Score. Just back from the game. Fantastic. The best all round performance I've seen from an Orient team in a long while, even in both recent promotion seasons. Defensively, in midfield and in attack, everyone was just great. And well done to Simon Royce for signalling to Sol Brynn which way to dive for the penalty kick.
Pity about the moronic so called Orient fans who tried to pack 6 guys into the space of two seats in row G, (yo know who you are, though you probably don't board) spoiling it for all around them, especially the family with a youngster immediately. Well done to the Pompey steward who got them back to their "proper" places after about 15 mins.

Also, away attendance announced as 1129, but on Friday, the Os website said all 1300 away tickets sold. Surely 171 people didn't stay away. But if they did, they missed a great game.
