Really.. I thought Daltrey was superb & was amazed a 75 year old man still had it, plus he looked flipping fantastic, thought sound was good too & the orchestra was great especially as most songs were from Quadrophenia, obviously it wasn't as rocky as as we wanted but it was billed as the who & orchestra so it wasn't a shock, my only gripe was police closing surrounding roads due the friday night murder I expected to get there in an hour but it took me 2 & 1/2 hours to get there, got a buddy who lets me park in his drive he lives very very close to ground, so missed the Kaiser Chiefs & saw only half of Eddie Vedder set (who was really good)dOh Nut wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 1:12 amI saw the Who too instead of Orient. Wrong choice, very wrong choice. Poor, Daltry can’t sing anymore and too much reliance on the orchestra and weak songs. Like amateur night sometimes. I’ll remember them as they were not as they are.Andersonitis wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 1:10 pm Please can someone post updates about tomorrows game, how the new players are playing etc, I'm seeing the Who at Wembley sadly missing the game,
Thanks in advance.
What a waste of a few hundred quid. Feel cheated
Thing is Jagger is 77 Daltrey 75 & McCartney 77 & I remember a few years back McCartney not being able to reach the notes so this is a new learning curve for all taking a risk seeing a mid 70s rocker sing but disappointed, how could I be ! these are OAPs & Daltrey blew me away with the power & melody of his voice, this is the first time I have seen the who & I honestly play most of their albums regularly, I also like Entwistle solo stuff & dare I say it
I love Moonies double album too.
Maybe I'm easily pleased but thought they were awesome (for their age) sorry you felt cheated.
On a different note Charlie Watts of Stones(drummer) is 79.
