The BBC has revealed the names of the inspiring and influential women on the BBC 100 Women list for 2024. https://www.bbc.com/news/resources/idt- ... er-buttons

And there's some truly remarkable and inspiring women who have been named.

For instance, there's Brigitte Baptiste. Brigitte is a stunning and brave biologist, who explores the common patterns between biodiversity and gender identity. She uses a queer lens to analyse landscapes and species in a bid to expand the notion of "nature" to better protect ecosystems. Something which I'm sure we can all agree is worthwhile.

The entirety of this bloke’s research and “work” can be summarised thusly:
“Some animals change sex. This means that some men are women, but I won’t mention that humans are not one of the animals that can change sex, nor will I mention what constitutes sex change in the animals that can change sex. Also lionesses hunt, so maybe they’re men”

What does that add to anything? I just don't really get it.

I think it was expedient, to be honest. It was a college production and they've got more females than males on the acting course, plus the lead roles have to be shared around the kids so they can be assessed.

That said, it would have caused considerable fume in some quarters. I was more offended by the constant breaking into song and dance. The set was superb, but then it would be since Mrs Spike designed and built it.

The Royal College Of Speech and Language Therapists has apologised to its members and stakeholders who were triggered by its CEO simply following Tommy Robinson on X using his personal account.

After a 5 month long investigation including barristers to ensure impartiality, CEO Steve Jamieson has apologised. He maintains he has no idea how he came to be following Robinson after initially claiming his X account must have been hacked.

The apologies from both the RCSLT and the CEO are superb examples of corporate wokespeak.

However, if you're the CEO of an institution such as the RCSLT, you really should know that your public and social media profile is at risk of scrutiny. He should have been sacked for stupidity.
