Weird: The Al Yankovic Story- This is a spoof biopic of this man who does parody songs. The film is funny, the songs are funny. I feel like I have missed out by not knowing about this man until now. It is available free on the Roku channel, if you have a roku device/stick/nowtv(roku make nowtv devices)/whatever.

Just finished "Who is Erin Carter?" The answer is - who f*cking cares?

7 Episodes of utterly tedious bullshit blighted by a sh*t plot and hateful characters (centering around an awful child) who I wouldn't give time of day to if Big Ben was tied to my wrist.

Mrs FTC of course loved it. But she's also watching Outlander which looks to be another turdfest with that bloke who played Phil the Greek in the Crown. Smug looking f*cker whose name escapes me.

The Great is just about passable although not a patch on the first 2 series.

Last Friday evening saw me resorting to watching Columbo. The bonus of which is you know who did it within the first 3 minutes leaving you to drop off and wake up just as the one-eyed shuffler apprehends the fiend with a clever set up. Marvelous stuff.

Celebs Go Dating- something the missus watches which has worn off on me. I dont know how they find so many men willing to date Vanessa Feltz, she is awful. Chloe sounds like shes permanently drunk or deaf. Lottie belongs in an asylum. Adam has had more women than Sponge. The Posh guy looks like a Thunderbird puppet and may be the worst of them all.

John Bell who is in Outlander was in the same year at school as my oldest daughter for a time before he went off to the actors Academy.

That’s like saying a Tarantino film is a bit sweary.

Finally saw Oppenheimer at the cinema.
Dialogue was a bit cheesy in parts but for a 3 hour film I never felt like it dragged and the sound was really outstanding

Did you go? I decided to avoid it as, at that price, I was worried it could attract lots of scum.

Yep, saw Indy. It was in a small screen, i was worried there might have been some scum behind me who talked through some ads but they soon buttoned it.

Cinemas near me are £5 tickets normally anyway.

Celebs Go Dating- some tv gold last night as a woman from love Island asks an old man "have you ever been pegged?" Mishearing her, he says yes, causing his date Vanessa Feltz to have a minor meltdown and storm off. It is then explained to the old dude what pegging is.

How did television get like this?

I’m listening to Rachmaninov Third on Radio 3
The Japanese Pianist was born blind and has achieved so much at such a young age. Makes me smile thinking of him and then contrasting his situation with some footballers whinging about light tackles.

Disappointed to learn that Feltz is no longer betrothed to the fella from Phats and Small.

Finally managed to get some time for the final season of Succession, only the finale to go. The penultimate episode was an hour of amazing telly, genuinely excited to see how it all pans out at the very end.

It's brilliant.

I still find myself giggling at the Disgusting Brothers.

"Did you frummage to fruition?"

This is a marvellous entry:

"Ofoedu is a born-again Christian;[36] his nickname in Benz, B.I.G. Ben, was short for Believe In God Ben.[37] He was engaged to television and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz between 2006[38] and 2023;[39] the pair did not marry due to Feltz's previous bad experiences with marriage (her previous husband had cheated on her),[40] and they split up due to Ofoedu also cheating on her.[39]"

The article from Huffington Post contains some absolute crackers:

www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/ben-ofoe ... 25737715d3
Speaking of the woman he met in Ibiza, Ben said: “I met her on the gig scene. She was the same age as Vanessa, possibly older... It was purely sexual, there were no feelings involved... It felt like a chore"
:D
“I cheated because I was insecure. The girl in Ibiza said things like ‘You’re such a great guy. I don’t know why you’re not married. Who wouldn’t want to marry you?"

True, but Feltz isn't going to let this defeat her.

"I feel very, very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way, I want to celebrate and I want to find laughter anywhere I can."

I have a strong suspicion that she has a "Live Laugh Love" sign on her kitchen wall.

The Whale- morbidly obese man tries to buy his estranged daughters love. The story doesnt really go anywhere. 6/10

Yeah, I didn't really get the love for The Whale either.

I binge watched Dear Child on Netflix over the weekend. It's a German detective drama about a weirdo who kidnaps women and keeps them to raise two kids in a hidden house. It's alright as far as that sort of thing goes.
