Can we be 100% sure that the kind identifying as a cat wasn't doing it to point out the absurdity of a male identifying as a girl? A bit like "we'll if you're going to allow Derek there to identify as a girl, then I'll just identify as a doorknob"

(No, I didn't listed to it or read the article, but that's what I'd have done, I suspect, when I was young)

Well whilst posting earlier I was throwing a ball for my 2 year old grandson to fetch. Which he did running after it on his hands and knees barking and then bringing it back to me in return for a Lucky Star.

So I figured where's the harm in that. It may be different with girls being cats but I hope I have been helpful answering your question. You got kids?

Pretending to be something in imaginative play is not the same thing as affirming the validity of an ongoing “identity” for a child who may have underlying reasons for attempting to escape social norms.

“It’s all just a wind up” would seem to suggest that on a very flimsy pretext (“you’re enabling hate!”) Max is essentially derailing any potential for constructive, thoughtful discussion on a live topic.

People are free to disagree with me, admins are free to either close the thread or set the terms of the debate/language used.

But this “lol I’m just winding the man up because he cares so much! Also I don’t have to stand by anything I say or make any sense because all I care about is detailing the man’s points” is pretty iffy.
