Weird to single him out.
Why? He’s been terrible. Such an influential position on the pitch and I don’t recall him doing anything of worth.
He was at least looking for passes forward and got into a couple of tackles. Coleman was a spectator / passenger for the hour he was on the pitch

Ray - poor CB
Khan - decent in midfield, poor RB
Coleman - came from non league and looks it
Brown - has had a few touches and that's about it
Nouble - bare minimum effort

I don’t disagree and was rightly taken off. I take no pleasure in saying it, but we need someone better.

Coleman next to him was far worse.

Have we had an attempt on goal this half?

Ruel had a one on one, thought he’d score but keeper made a great save.

It reminds me a bit when JE came in and gave everyone a chance. Some like Widdowson took it and became key members of the squad whereas others were soon shipped out. Summer will be very interesting.
I really do think there’s something in this.

Oldham away on a Tuesday night. Bit of breathing space between us and the drop zone. Use it to prove how dog sh*t the Jan signings were. Without too much damage. And certainly not in front of a home crowd.

Wellens knows what he’s doing tonight.

Can't complain. Oldham didn't stop working hard, closing down and giving us no room. Disappointing to see some of our players so ineffective. Hector had a nightmare and Smyth and Drinan never got going. Happens - good luck to Oldham!

No idea.

He’s tall but he’s not a big imposing lump. He’s not aggressive. He was never going to challenge for it.

And if you do send him up, don’t leave 1 v 2 at the back.

Idiotic.

Can't help thinking that if you were a Stevenage or a Barrow fan you'd be pretty gutted by the line up Wellens put out tonight. As a former Oldham manager himself it's a conspiracy theorist's dream situation.

Basically the way Fletcher needed to do it when he wanted rid of certain DoF / Travis favourites. Let's hope the owners have learnt and don't question any player Wellens wants replaced.

Apparently Nouble announced his retirement from football before kick off, that’s why he played in his pipe and slippers and didn’t break sweat all game.
He wouldn’t get a game in my Sunday League side

If you send your keeper forward, stand your last defender a yard inside your own half. Even professional players forget it needs two defenders (one usually the goal keeper) to be onside.

Even when we were losing week in week out, we played better than tonight.
Kyp was terrible, Khan was terrible, Ray can't pass to anyone other than Beckles, Even Smyth was ineffective.
Shocking performance, really shocking
