The ref was superb, let it flow, absolute deflective nonsense from Ross, not a shot on target

Lose by a penalty is one thing, but to have been so missing in ideas, goal opportunities etc. This is a terrible run of being unable to score - we're not even winning penalties - we're that short of action in the penalty area. Gutted.

So we play with sh*t tactics and lose, draw if we're lucky.

I know, we'll play the same way next time and see what happens, lose, draw if we're lucky.

For the next game, I think we'll do exactly the same and see what happens this time - lose, draw if we're lucky

Etc, etc, etc, etc

I think that is the first time this season. Not good at all.

We have the asset who can drive into the box and win us said penalty, unfortunately he's kept 50 yards away from the danger zone most of the time.

Sounds like spending the evening fixing tech problems at work ended up being more entertaining 😳

A more balanced view...

Not a great game. Fitting that it was decided by a dubious pen. Probably was a pen though we had an equally valid claim on Abraham’s after that

Don’t think it was a terrible performance against an in-form team and certainly didn’t look like the players weren’t playing for Ross. We defended quite well for the most part and they created very little too.

But we didn’t do enough to win. Most frustrating was our wastefulness when we actually got into some good positions

I accept some criticism of Ross not being flexible enough to change things but then I saw our bench. Honestly what would you guys have done?

If Ross is a fan surely he must think its time to go.One goal in 7 games is awful

I have no idea what about. The ref was fine. The pen was a pen. We got plenty of free kicks in dangerous areas. He's just trying to shift the blame.
Our dead balls tonight were laughable four or five free kicks in excellent areas - everyone hit the wall. Our corners threatened nothing. If I thought we would go out and get a half decent manager I would say sack him tonight after that dross but we won't.

We won't get anyone decent to manage us as Ling won't allow that to happen. At best it will be his mate Calderwood

This is Ross' squad. Vigoroux, Akinola, Thompson, Cisse, Freeman, Wilkinson, DJ, Kemp, Abrahams... that's 8 players that started today +1 from the bench. He can't make the excuse that he doesn't have the resources. He might not be able to replace the first eleven with an equally good second eleven but who at this level can?

Only in the sense that he was manager when they signed. Ling is in full control of signings. There is an obvious disconnect between the two. Ross plays 433 because of the players he has. Ling either isn’t strengthening in areas that would allow Ross to play in a way that he believes in or Ross is using players as an excuse. Orient have a lot of forwards out, DJ seems to have been rushed back and Abrahams is just a punt

Ross doesn’t have the courage to tell uncle Martin he’d like to play with wingers! They sit on the same transfer committee so both are aware of what each is saying on any given point.

Post-match interview. He says we won and lost games and wanted to be more consistent... yup we now consistently lose or draw with no goals. Progress!

Earlier you were on about needing plan a, b, c, d etc and criticised Ross for his lack of subs

Now you’re saying he shouldn’t need to replace players

Can’t have it both ways

What? You criticised Ross for lacking a Plan B and then said he shouldn’t need a Plan B 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was watching on Bradfords stream with their commentators, which does give a different feel to things. They were very complimentary of Kemp and Vigaro, but equally dismissive of DJ, I guess they expected more based on his goalscoring record this season. They were very edgy every time we went forwards, even though I can't remember us creating a proper chance all game. Again.

From my point of view, it was the same old same old. Lots of the ball but no chances. They could have won by more - one save in particular from Vigaro was truly world class. That starting 11 should be playing much better than they are. They should be walking this division.

There's one reason they're not.
