Re: Euro Votes
To be honest I always thought that a small state was the way forwards, but I think I’m changing my mind on that one. The things I’d like done cost money and therefore you need more taxes to be collected not less.
I just need a party that will have policies that I’d like implemented.

Re: Euro Votes
After the West Midlands vote, the only parties that had a clear message and were consistent in that message has been the Brexit party and the Lib Dem’s. Both labour and the tories have not been clear and concise in their messages. Change UK look like being wiped out as a party already! I’d be surprised if any of the defectors remain after this.

Re: Euro Votes
Last time we had Euro elections, Ukip, won by a landslide, and all the pocket fascists were waxing lyrical.
The following year at the GE, they got trounced.
The same thing Will happen to the Brexit Party.
This is a protest vote. We use Euro elections to give our politicians a kick up the backside, but when the real elections come, we vote traditional

The Remainers won't accept the result of this election and will continue to insist on a second referendum.

Re Comeonyouos, the Brexit party had only one message and that was vote for us if you want Brexit, once again the common man and woman have unanimously voted that’s what they want. What do you think will happen if the Brexit party put forwards proper and true policies that appeal to the average man and women? Politics is changing and who knows, I certainly don’t, but populist policies that strike a nerve with people may just win the day in a GE.

Who continuously wins any vote his party make.
The Labour party need not to much of a Swing to win the next GE & in a fair press i think he would.
However if they change & put a younger Hard Left leader in they would break records with the size of the win.

I wonder if this is all about the establishment playing a smoke and mirrors trick on us which leaves us worse off in the long run? We just can’t see the moves yet?

Re: Euro Votes
The moves have been clear for a long time Thor.
They need war.
The world is broke as well as broken.
The bloke on question time the other night who made this comment regarding British steel.
The Chinese have produced more steel in the last 2 years than the uk has produced in its History.
Think about that for a minute .......
Nobody can compete with them & those numbers.
But nobody can really do much because the Chinese own everyones debt.
This splits of far right & far left are being played hard .
In the free world the rise of the hard right & the anger is being fuelled
Israel is a major player in this as always because of where it is based .
Islam is rising & those in military power seem quite happy to let them plan & carry out there attacks short term
Why because it fills the world with fear.
The Banks , the governments & the establishment in General have lost control of US the general public.
We take money that is not ours & run up debts we cannot afford to repay & so we help to feed the cycle .
In the old days we paid our debts , now the bailiffs come & most debt is written off.
They need us to fear again, they need us to be culled
They are building HATE slowly but steadily & the young will be there fodder once more.
War is coming , its Gaurenteed profit .
They wont use nukes , that doesnt make any money during war. It only makes money in times of peace.
Who will be the powers after ?
No doubt the Russians The Americans & probably the Chinese.
The stage is set for another European war with smalerr skirmishes elsewhere.

By “unanimously”, do you mean ‘about 35%’? Because that’s the vote share of the overtly pro-Brexit parties. The overtly pro-remain parties? A measly 35% of the vote. #unanimousbrexitlandslide

Meaningless election for the UK as you're leaving which allowed for some bonkers Eurovision style voting. Same sort of bat sh*t crazy results repeated all over Europe.

Re: Euro Votes
It's interesting that only Spain has voted for a socialist party who came out top in these euro elections. It appears that voters across the European continent have rejected socialism which indicates that people are certainly disappointed in their European rulers. Change is coming from.every angle.

Turnout is at 37%. Glad to see that the common man and woman have sent such a clear message by turning out at half the rate as the referendum and voting for the pro EU parties at a slightly higher proportion than the hard Brexit ones. Clearly this is unanimous.

Five million + votes for Brexit Party at a pointless and poorly prepared for election.
Makes me wonder if 4 times that will come out and reaffirm ‘the will of the people’

I think either side projecting from the results confirmation of their position is really reaching. The pro and anti EU vote is coming in at the same rate.
Seems like the big Lib Dem vote has already got to McDonnell.

Re: Euro Votes
Basically, leave and remain parties split down the middle again, with the Tory vote gutted and fudging Labour given a kick up the backside too.
No doubt the 2 major parties will furiously be doing calculations the next few days to see whether they should go hard leave to bring back the Farridge voters (Tories), or be clearer about calling for a confirmatory public vote (Labour). After all, you don’t need to win much more than 35% of the popular vote at a GE to form a government, and that will dictate their re-positioning on the brexit issue.

Re: Euro Votes
Crude split this but Tory and hard Brexit vote split was roughly 45%, pro remain and Labour 55%. Given that the Brexit party ran a much better campaign than anyone else, in a much less crowded field for their position, actually not a bad night, even if the MEP return is quite grim.

It was only 14% in the more progressive Scotland. The sooner we are rid of English nationalism the better. That way we can build the new Jeruselem.Kitch’s Magic Toes wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 2:06 amBy “unanimously”, do you mean ‘about 35%’?
