Isnt it trans people who tell others they
are in the wrong body ?

Oh please. I might rename his account Uncle Albert. "During the war..."
I doubt very much that Uncle Albert would be interested in the subject of Transsexual people.

You're not comparing apples with apples. You're a smart bloke, think it though. Hint: who wants what.

I'm aware of that. Its just an example, the treatment would not be ethical would it?

So you're aware your example isn't relevant but you'll stick with it. Good stuff.

What about women who have post mastectomy breast reconstruction, should they just accept their lot? Or people with aromatase deficiency which means they can't produce estrogen?

Theres lots of examples yes. Its where you draw the line.

So, to summarise. You think, despite your admitted lack of knowledge, that you are better placed than a person with direct experience to decide what treatment they can and can't have, there is a line somewhere on what treatment is acceptable but you can't say where it is.

I think I'd have to spend time with kids in this situation to form an opinion. There doesn't seem to be much research on it. Certainly none of sufficient depth and quality that I can find.

It's like trying to reason with that bloke down the pub who sits on his own cos everyone avoids him. He always knows best, although he's not sure what he knows.
