Then don’t use any names. This is the 2nd time he’s pinpointed him in a post match interview. This could have been avoided by just saying ‘for some of the younger lads in the team’.

Point me to anything Rоss said negatively about Ogie's performance in this particular game, or indeed anything at all about Ogie specifically in this game.
Is this a joke? Just read what you posted again. Unless you didn't know Ogie's first name is Shadrach.
I know his first name, I also know the meaning of the words "performance" and "specific".

Totally with you.

But like I said, this is all about Brophy playing at LB ahead of him and staving off that criticism. That’s why he’s named Ogie and said he isn’t ready.

Sublime pass from Juddy for Angols goal

Nudge Nudge 😉😉

From those highlights you have to question ling on his positioning as he was nowhere to be seen backing up and sweeping around the centre half. The own goal well the less said the better really.

Centre left channel & bang goal

Firstly going by the little bit we have seen of the friendlies so far i would go with Judd in front of Ling. Dont think you can aportion any blame on Ling for the first goal Widdowson was slow in using the ball and got dissposessed which caught the defence out. The own goal unfortunately one of those things, 9/10 he clears it.

The Ling og is unlucky.

The first goal, however, is inexcusable from Joe Widdowson. Appalling defending. But then again, he isn’t a CB so what do you expect?

It’s looking like the club aren’t going to replace Marvin. Very dangerous move. That leaves us with Happe, Coulson and Turley.

Happe is a decent young CB
Turley will get injured
Coulson is on the decline. He looked cumbersome last season. He won’t have gotten faster over the summer. He’s an alright conference defender at best these days.

Pretty alarming that apart from Cisse (who was here last year anyway) we haven’t signed a single player.

2 players left if needed by the budget

In case we pick up a long term injury in the
1st 6 weeks of the season
Brill 1st game last season done for the season

We have 3 centre halves & 2 full backs who can fill iif needed
JOE & Shad as cover for cb leaving brophy as main lb starter.

Ross bagging out the youngsters is interesting. Especially when you add ling saying Ruel wanted to jump from being a promising youngster to a star of the team without earning first team regular status. I wonder if there's a crazy expectation level from youngsters progressing from the youth team and Ross is trying to make them check their ideas.

Between 17 and 20 if you are a decent footballer you probably think your the bees knees and have a certain confidence and belief in yourself. The coaching and management at the club should be encouraging and supporting you to display your skills and strengths which could lead to the team being successful. Of course they also need to instill the rights and wrongs of your game and advise you of some of your faults.
Shadrach is a young defender who looks strong and promising, in fact there is more chance of him being a central defender than Joe Widdowson. There does appear to be a habit of dropping his name in for criticism which could be handled differently. As with regards Ruel being played out on the wide left position i think we are wasting his strengths and probably for the good of Ruel and the team maybe they should start with someone else there.
As they say on here it's all about opinions but i cant agree with Ross on these decisions.
