I think Don Johnson would have been a better choice today

Under Ross, maybe losing good players as they will not want to stay under such a poor manager, young players especially. Few games with exciting, attacking football, more like a diet of just pure boring dross and clinging on to 1-1 and 0-0 draws with the occasional win if we are lucky. Crowds may well drop as no one wishes to watch football which is not exciting or providing good entertainment.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 6:06 pmIt’s not going to happen Sid, we are stuck with him. I just hope he sorts it out and does well for us otherwise what hope is there?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:54 pm@o-noo-no wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:27 pm
He may be that - I hope he is - but a fox in the box needs balls to feed from. He's just not going to get that from our current midfield setup,
I don't know if Clay and Wright have some photographs of Ross they shouldn't have, but until we have a midfield that makes chances we could have more foxes than an open day at the chicken farm and it wouldn't make any difference.
Post of the day, so funny but also so true !
Once again, Ross is not Manager material at this level, he is clueless when it comes to tactics, especially when it comes to late game substitutions and closing out a game. Get this season done then get someone decent in for the Managers job before next season starts.

Re: Cheltenham (A) - Exiles Thread
Where to start?
We looked ok for the first 10 minutes or so, then the first half drifted into a nothing game. We were totally unprofessional after the goal, every one joking about it except Cisse who was trying to get people to focus. 30 seconds later and they’re level because the whole team has switched off.
The second half we were battered from start to finish. They had multiple chances, we didn’t put 2 passes together. Taking Angol off and leaving Johnson on was a joke decision. Having rode our luck for 40+ minutes, it was the tactical switch to 3 at the back that cost us. Wright gives a sh*t sideways ball to Cisse who clears the ball long, they play it straight back into their right hand channel where the left back should be and their bloke has ages to put a ball in, Happe is pulled out of position to stip the cross but doesn’t.

Except he identifies as a winger now having told Embleton where he will play
This is a bigger problem going forward. Club is split down the middle thanks to Ling's obsession with having Embleton as manager. Needs a new, experienced appointment that everyone can get behind to move forward, needs a strong decision from Teague as he seems to be the only one with a bit of balls around the club.

The poo poo will most likely hit the fan come in the close season, when season ticket sales drop through the floor because a lot of people won’t stump up the cash while Embleton is in charge. We all knew this season would be tough but what we’re being served up is absolute dogshite. Enough is enough.
